PHILIPS360164 - TUV30W G30T8 Germicidal Fluorescent Light Bulb

Built my own germicidal box using the Phllips UVC lamp and a ballast from Home Depot. I Added a timer to make it more convenient. I tested it with a dosemeter. Three minutes in the chamber excedded the amount of UVC to disable C-diff. If I am reading the data correctly Caronavirus should be disabled in 1/2 that time.

I'm using two of these to disinfect my gear I wear at the hospital. Leather work boots, etc. don't handle the washer too well.

This germicidal fluorescent tube was as expected with the following exception: It lacks the shatter shield protective plastic sheath the original tube had. If you want to use this in food manufacturing equipment where the potential for glass breakage in food is a risk, you'll have to use an after market solution to sheath this tube. Otherwise, this tube was identical in brand, markings, fit and all other specifications. From my perspective the presence or absence of a built on protective sheath to contain broken glass is critical information that ought to be communicated up front in the verbiage of the description, specs, etc.

Works well but make sure you wear protective eyewear at least

Good product! Using it for my koi fish pond, works fabulous! Shipping was quick too! I would recommend this uv light for anyone who needs to kill bacteria, good or bad, pee soup Alge and sting like Alge.

use in my uv filter 24/7 and has worked for 2 years like a champ!

I think it works not as bright as I thought it would have been.
