Butz Strop for Sharpening

Has nice shapes on edges for working with unique blades. I did expect a firmer leather, the nap side is up. When stroking with the nap it works well, when stroking against the nap it becomes softer as the nap raises up. I adjusted my technique to only stroke with the nap for more consistent performance.

If you're looking for a quality Strop then this is for you. The leather is top notch high grain. The paddle is contoured for all blade types. It feels very comfortable in your hand. A bit pricey but i think its worth the price for quality that you're getting. Built to last a lifetime.

Just as advertised! Great product! There’s an Amazon problem though, if you search for it on Amazon it doesn’t come up at all!! I had to do an internet search then use that link, otherwise even searching for the brand name gives you every other similar product except this one! I think the seller is getting ripped off by Amazon, it’s clear that have no interest in trying to actually sell this product.

The thought put into this strop makes them more valuable to me that your average strop. One side is a full radius and the other is a sharper angle. Both of them fill the role of sharpening various shapes of curved carving tools. Someone was using their noodle. The wood and the leather, as well as how the two are joined, are of high quality. Well done.

Works as advertised. Nice strop to get that razor fine edge on your knives. Nothing bad about this strop that I’ve experienced yet. Not a lot to say about a simple tool like this. LOL

Has nice reliable texture of leather fitted to an easy to hold handled paddle with a slightly domed edge on one side and a nice angled side on the other. I am looking forward to having this to use when sharpening various wood working tools.

This is a quality strop. The additions of the angled edge and the curve give additional versatility to this strop over others I've used.

Been using with a variety of knives and blare steels as well as a gouge. Works great.
