Q: Are the chairs ok for dining when paired with a taller table and with big pillows? I want a chair that I can lounge in but eat outside with as well.

They are very low, I would not recommend pairing with a standard size table

Q: Do you sink to the ground in the chairs?

You're definitely sitting lower than normal, but your butt isn't touching the ground. I think it's very comfortable.

Q: How does the color hold up over time, does it start to look dingy/ dirty due to weather? I like the white and blue but that aspect makes me nervous.

These hold up very well, I have the grey ones, and I live in Florida with HOT sun and Rain, and still looks like new, I got them in February.
