Great Bass
Really nice bass here. I bought this bass to take on the road when I travel play in the hotel room when I’m off work, but I would def gig with this bass. Made well for the money. I recommend this bass.👍

Great bass - esp for the price!
I'm a guitarist and already have a Fender Jazz Bass, which I like a lot. It has that signature Fender sound, but I really wanted something different. The Ibanez Gio Bass is the perfect addition. It truly is lightweight and easy to play, so it's perfect for rehearsing and recording. The range of tones is surprisingly wide and the fit and finish were great - straight out of the box. I now own three Ibanez guitars and have been more than happy with each of them.

Great sounding bass for the “basement player”.
Sounds great. Versatile and inexpensive. Guitar players looking for something to track with-this fits the bill. Active pickups sound good. Not sure I’d seriously gig with it. Great creative tool.

Distorted sound
bough this guitar for my son no more than 4 months ago and no longer works properly. the sound is now distorted. On top of that, there is no easy way to return it, where to call for assistance, or how to arrange for replacement

Plays well, feels solid. Sold my Fender precision ...
Plays well, feels solid. Sold my Fender precision 15 years ago to turn on the utilities when I first got married and the wife picked this up for me for my birthday. No complaints!

Meh.
Sounds about how you imagine a ~$200 bass would sound. There is some horrible buzz, hum, and feedback. The pilot holes for the heel joint are splintered and clumsy, but HEY! most people just mix the bass out anyway. The buzzing of the frets/fretboard and the humming of the pickups can be easily fixed. Still, Ibanez should knock $40 off this thing for the laughable lack of attention to detail in craftsmanship and intonation.
