RoudyBushLow Fat Bird Food, Small, 44-Ounce

My bird was eating RoundyBush daily maintenance when the vet dropped the bomb - she was 20 grams overweight! We switched to low fat per the vet's recommendation and she had no trouble accepting the new pellets.From a bird that spent the first 17 years of her life eating seed and junk food, RoundyBush gets two wings up.. even when it's low fat!

Although I bought the wrong pellet size (could not tell from the picture of the product), I can easily grind the pellets down to a more appropriate size with a small mortar and pestle. The bird I am feeding this to could be considered obese. It is a red-headed cardinal. He has slowly lost a noticeable amount of weight (12 grams) eating this diet exclusively. I would like him to drop another 10 grams at least.

My Hahn's Macaw put on weight due to my poor adherence to her diet. The problem is, she loves bread and will kill anyone on her way over to a hunk of it! She needed to lose weight so I ordered this low fat pellet. She was eating the regular version of Roudybush. She's already lost weight and she really likes it. I save any left over crumbs and add them to the Harrison Birdy Bread I make for her and add extra water and one small applesauce (babyfood organic) to the bread. It stretches the bread and lowers the fat content. Good all around and I recommend this pellet. She loves them.

My birds eat Roudybush with pleasure! They are all healthy.

I'm glad my portly parrot loves this stuff ! She has finally lost weight as ordered by the vet with this healthy pellet diet. Of course she eats fresh veggies, nuts etc. as well but she would eat just this food if allowed to!

Turns to crumbles faster when my bird eats vs than earlier batches of Roudy Bush but I guess that's just the recipe. She goes thru bags faster.

My 4 budgies will spend all day picking through the bedding of their cage while the feeder is filled to the top with your product.

It's impossible to find the low fat version near me so it's very convenient to find on Amazon. I wish they had the mini size I am having a lot of waste with my little quaker.
