SCRATCHING AND CLEANING ISSUES
I bought this sink through Home Depot a few months ago. It was originally $1400. then went on sale for $1200. when I purchased it. Before the sink was delivered to Home Depot the price dropped to $900. and I got a refund...but that is still nearly twice the cost of other 16 gauge sinks. Considering the price of this sink- combined with Moen advertising that it is a "professional" sink - one would think that it would be very scratch resistant as well as easy to clean. Absolutely the opposite. Mine scratched during installation (from a licensed plumber) and has gotten a few more scratches in only two months. Cleaning has been a nightmare. They didn't put deep enough grooves in the stainless steel to guide the food particles down the drain. I can spend more than five minutes "chasing" the particles around and around the sink with my faucet trying to get the fodder down the drain. I finally gave up and bought a little squeegee to help me sweep the food in. The only good thing about this sink is that it is huge and has the drain hole in the middle where I need it to fit my very large garbage disposal. Most sinks now have drain holes near the rear too close to the back wall for a large garbage disposal. Also, I attempted to call Moen several times prior to buying to ask questions regarding this sink as there were absolutely no reviews. Moen customer service is the worst ever. They won't even answer the phone. You have to request a callback for days later. Then IF someone calls you back they have no information on this sink other than what is written on their website. Not worth the higher cost for no benefits other than a centered hole.
