No shedding problems with my set but they do get stray hairs which curl after a lot of usage, however I do use mine on a very regular basis and abuse them a bit. I would buy then again.

Q: how are these brushes with using them for watercolours ?

The brushes work well with many different mediums. I have been primarily using them for acrylics but they do work well with watercolours too!

Hi Piggy, I don't know silk painting at all. But I can tell you that these brushes are great quality for the price. I use them for fine detail on my artwork and they retain shape if looked after. I didn't expect much for the price but they are surprisingly good. Hope this helps. Regards, Simon.
