Astounding!
I’m an older, fairly discerning cello player. My bow is a $3000 Arcus. I am simply astounded at how much more comfortably my 72 year old fingers can play with my bow now that I have this grip. With no difference to my bow’s response.Strongly and unreservedly recommended.

A grand disappointment
Doesn’t work well.

Worked as Promised but a Little Too Bulky
It helped stabilize my fingers against the bow but didn't need to be so thick, in my opinion

Great for Beginners
I enjoyed learning the violin with this and it was very comfortable to use. That is also the problem since I got so used to having it on there I found myself missing it when it wasn't. It is a great way to learn finger placement which seems to be my biggest problem. For me the biggest problem is sticking with technique like posture and finger placement so this is a big plus. The other problem I have is my long boney fingers so they are a little more bent than I think they should be. Other than my personal problems with it I highly recommend for beginners or people with problems with finger placement. The violin in my mind is complicated and needs to be practiced a lot and I am twenty six years old so time to practice is very hard to come by. It is nice to find help products whenever I can to make learning a little easier. The violin purist might be against this but for me a self teacher I am for it. So whatever your view buy it if you think it will help b/c it did for me.

For RIGHT HANDED violinists - LEFTIES BEWARE
I am a lefty and a complete beginner with the violin. I am self teaching and figured this product would help me learn proper bow hold. I had looked at the other objects on the market and they wouldn't work with the bow in the left hand. I looked closely at the photos of this one and it looked like it could be used for the left or right hand - so I ordered it.Today I received the Bowmaster. There is a few things that you don't see in the photos that makes this strictly for a bow held in the right hand. For starters, there is a slight angle on the bumps that your fingers sit between. In the right hand, this angle is comfortable, but in the left it is quite wonky. Next, the cutout for the frog (part of the bow ) is off center? It isn't directly centered below the pinky dip. Again, when held in the right hand, it is quite comfortable, but in the left it is super weird and uncomfortable.I thought about returning the Bowmaster, but it is fairly cheap and maybe I can modify it enough to work for me.I did just want to make sure fellow lefties are aware that sadly this pretty cool product isn't made for us as well.

Great for anyone needing extra comfort
I am a professional violinist and have been playing for almost 30 years. I purchased this after a hand injury and it provides the comfort I need for hours of practice each day. I also recommend this for students!

Seems like a good product.
It delivered quickly. If someone is starting out and needed to train their fingers this would be a good product. The size is misleading. I have large hands and this product was not near big enough to accomodate my needs. It does not add any real thickness to the bow but it's small added weight was noticeable on a carbon fiber bow.I would recommend this product to a beginner if it will fit your hands. I now have two that I will give away to a young student with small hands.
