It was easy to install. Seems to be working just fine.

So far it's been great
I was a little iffy ordering with reading a few reviews, but coming on a month and no issues.Was easy to swap out and was exactly as one I was replacing it with.

Perfect fit for Dell Inspiron 5577
This was a perfect fit for my Dell Inspiron 5577 laptop. Except for the lack of a lift tape on the new battery, the old battery had all the same physical features. I made my own lift tape out of black electrical tape and added it to the new battery to ease potential removal in the future. After installation, the battery correctly identified itself as Dell and charged to 100% with no issues. Running the laptop on battery power from 100% to 10% provided 6 hours of runtime, about the same as my old battery when new, and very much improved from the current old battery state which can only manage 18 minutes. The manufacturer label on the new battery states that the cells are made in Korea, which is the same as the original old battery. Other generic batteries don't make this claim, although I don't know if Korean cells are better than China cells.

Date Code On Battery looks like from 2017 makes me concerned
I just received the battery today that I ordered on Amazon, the battery looks like the code date is o1/2017 which is a little concering, that makes this battery 2 years and 8 months old... I don't know what the shelf life is on these things.. but, it concerns me. I have not installed the battery yet, but plan to do so over the weekend and when I do I will be running some tests on it.... I hope it works just fine and holds a charge as the item is listed new... but with a code date of 2017 I am pretty concerned... Stay Tuned, I"ll update the thread when I do some testing.I gave it a 3 star until I can verify the capacity and holding capability of the battery...UPDATE 8-3-19So, I installed the battery about 5 days ago and have been doing a few tests using the "Charge to 100% and then Discharge Completely" to test the capacity of the battery and I am somewhat disjointed that so far I have not been able to get even 5 hours run time off the battery. My wife who has the exact same notebook with her factory battery and she gets 10 - 12 hours constantly. I am continuing to monitor the capacity issue for another couple of weeks and decide what my options are then... maybe the vendor will offer to replace the one I have.
