I love this polyurethane. Very dependable product. I use it almost daily, it's a great product, protects furniture, and stays shiny for a long time. It's very durable holding up to my three kids. Clean up soap and water, about as easy as it gets

I am super grateful for this product! I draw “planks” on a plywood floor, stain the “boards” then cover the floor with this water based polyurethane - about 4 coats or more. Makes the floor look like a hardwood floor!

Clear Varathane is the best! and dries very fast! water clean up.We had old varnished red oak floors... stripped and sanded the floors.After application, made the floors more coastal white-washed gray/blue tones.Applied the varathane, using an 18" (or is it longer??) roller and got a beautiful, lustrous, shiny, smooth finish! Applied 2 coats.clear Varathane was hard to source and no local stores carried. A few carried the quart. We ended up ordering from Amazon and price was better!Cans were well packaged, with the 4 clips shown in pic to keep lid from opening.**Don't make the mistake that we made... we first did not know that some of the cans will say "clear" ... then on can it will say: "dries amber" or such! If you want it to dry clear then make sure that the can does NOT say "dries amber"!**Note that this Varathane in my review is clear and dries clear! its beautiful and I highly recommend!

First off this product is damn good. However, Amazon packaging must be hiring kindergarten kids to package these containers. The item was put into a non closed plastic bag with what looks like clips to hold in the lid which is good overall. Then the gallon can was put into an oversized box with no support to cushion product during shipping. So I open the damaged box to find a damaged can leaking product. Thanks Amazon.I WILL NEVER BUY A LIQUIDCONATING FROM AMAZON AGAIN.

It worked well. But it was leaking when it arrived.

Been using this product for years. Big box does not carry it anymore so came to Amazon. Easy to apply and cleanup. Goes on milkly but dries clear. Do not force it to dry ... let it dry in low/no air movement. Sand with a high grit or 000 steel wool between coats. This is 3 coats of Semigloss on American Chestnut.

easy clean up / less order than most

Used to buy in big box stores but they stopped selling it. Glad Amazon has them.It does not smell as much as M...x brand and you do see where you are appying it. Cheaper a little bit too.
