This paint is a high-grade new lacquer clear flat paint. The biggest feature is that "fluorine" is included in this paint. Due to including fluorine, the painted surface will be very smooth, and also the white phenomenon will not be occuerd so much.

My new "Go-To" choice for a clear flat
I started using this product maybe 3 years ago. Like all GSI clear finishes, it comes extremely thick in the jar and requires extensive thinning with Mr Leveling Thinner, or equivalent. That being said, it is a reliable , flat finish which has no amber cast like Testors Dullcoat and as the label indicates the finish is very smooth with no rough or grainy texture.I have been mixing it with C181 semi gloss to impart a slight degree of shininess to the surface with no adverse effects. To re-iterate, the stuff is thick in the jar. Its almost impossible to thin this stuff too much, but it's very possible to not thin it enough. Properly applied it is very fast drying and safe to handle in 30 minutes, possibly sooner. I do recommend all super clear finishes left to harden and cure a minimum of 24 hours, as these products do shrink as they harden and as the solvents outgas.

It really is Super Smooth
I've tried many different flat and matt clear coats trying to find the perfect one. I build 1/48 scale aircraft from WW2 to many modern jets.I've tried createx UV matt, Windsor and newton UV matt varnish (don't buy either one of those I can't get them smooth no matter what thinner or thinning ratio I use), Vallejo Mecha Varnish matt (pretty smooth but leaves cloudiness very easily), Ammo by Mig Lucky varnish (gives a nice smooth even level finish but is not durable at all, water will dissolve it days after its dry and will scratch very easily), Tamiya xf-86 thinned with X20A (much better but not smooth enough for my taste), Micro industries Micro Flat thinned with vallejo airbrush thinner or Isopropyl Alcohol (definitely one of the top best, mostly nice and smooth, very durable, but has too much of a sheen if your going for more of a flat look).I was trying to stick with water based products but not fully satisfied with any of these for a matt finish, I finally decided to try something that's more toxic. Just make sure you use a respirator and have good ventilation like a spray booth and its no problem. Definitely don't breathe this stuff.I watched the videos on mr hobby's website for this product and after trying it it's exactly like the video shows, it's a very nice matt finish that doesn't cloud up easily and leaves a perfectly smooth finish when it dries. Its incredibly good and is the best flat/matt finish I've tried yet and its VERY easy to spray on and to not mess up, unlike some others where you can easily mess it up by spraying wrong. Just use 2 parts mr color thinner (the regular not the leveling) to 1 part of this gx 114, make sure everything's mixed up super well and spray through your airbrush around 15-20psi (I use a .5 needle for this) and you'll get the best finish ever. Using this product is now my key ingredient to getting that perfectly smooth matt finish coat that I was after.Update: Also you can mix it with Mr color GX100 gloss to adjust the sheen to be more glossy. By mixing the two and adjusting the ratio you can get the desired sheen for your specific application.
