Entirely useless
The end guide edges are non-square to the cutting edge and there is no way to adjust this. In this particular instance, the cut is about 3 mm out across the short side of a sheet of A4, which is very obvious. The cutter is very tight and does not run smoothly. It is also difficult to start the cutter head moving from the end position as it gets stuck and you need to pull with some effort to get it started. The plastic guide under which the paper slips to hold it down is loose, so you need to press down firmly to avoid the paper slipping out. The base is aluminium with plastic molded ends ends. It's documentation states that it can cut card up to 1 mm thick, but this not possible. Perhaps a few sheets of 80 gsm paper at best. The price reflects the quality of the product in this case. Avoid.

Not that impressed
Size is great and it’s sligh and easy to use. Not great at cutting though as very difficult to slide across and constantly getting stuck. Got on offer so was good value for what it is but if you need to use a lot would recommend looking at other models instead.

Clean cuts everytime
Wow what a difference this was to the 10 year old A4 version it replaced. It just slices through multiple sheets as if nothing. Minimum wobble on the blade so clean cuts every time.

Health warnings
Its a really nice piece of kit, but to carry the guillotine around to a different location caused a rather serious injury as there is no safety precautions under the item. Required hospital attention and all we did was pick it up. BE CAREFUL MOVING IT... STITCHES ON CHRISTMAS NIGHT ARE NOT FUN!

Very effective rotary trimmer
Very effective and easy to use. This is a light weight item, perhaps too light and does need a surface that allows a good grip. Strictly for the home casual user. Does what it says although the plastic paper retaining bar can be misleading as to where the cut will take place.
