These hammered in without bending just fine. Not sure what other people were complaining of. Good quality staple for the price.

These cable staples are a lifesaver! I had cords running everywhere in my office, but these little guys helped me organize them in no time. They’re easy to use—just hammer them in, and the cables stay in place. The staples are sturdy but don’t damage the cables, which is a huge plus. A must-have for NM-B (Romex)
These work well and are required when stringing NM-B. I hammer these in but stop just short of smashing the jacket. You want to cable to be able to move under the staple.

Sharp and holds
I've used them when I rewired the shed. Holds well. I like that the opening is just big enough to fit my pliers. I hold it with my pliers and tap in place with my hammer.
