The most unique highlighter you'll ever find.
These are my all-time favorite highlighters. The Beetle highlighter has a unique tip that allows the user to underline with a wide tip, thin tip or more than one tip at once which creates a sort of boxing effect, with one swipe of the pen. The solo colors can do all of that, but you need five pens if you're a color coding freak.Enter the Dual Color line.Having two colors on one pen means that I can do things like underline vocab words in one color, then the definition in another. I can go further along the page and when I hit a major concept that a professor is emphatic about, I highlight that info with the double line feature. And I don't need to switch pens to do these tasks in two colors. That saves me a ton of desk space, when desk real estate is at a premium, as it often is in college classes. The colors are terrific, bright but clear so that you can read the text underneath without a hitch, and you get purple with this set. Not enough companies offer purple highlighters in a set--or at all.But my favorite thing of all about the Kokuyo Beetle is that it is the best highlighter line for those who use fountain pens, because it can consistently highlight FP ink without smearing it or making it bleed. As long as the ink is dry, the Beetle can usually go over it without a hitch. I've had very few inks that run with this, and my test ink for highlighters has been J Herbin 1670 Emerald of Chivor. For those who don't know, it's a super-saturated ink color, and it will run if you look at it funny. Once it dries, though, the Kokuyo Beetle isn't afraid of it at all. It tells that Chivor that it's getting highlighted--and it will like it.I hope Kokuyo never stops making this line of highlighters. I'd be lost without them.

Japan knows what's up
Love these highlighters. Haven't tried them yet on my main book that I will use them for, but I did a swatch test in my Moleskin notebook, and they were really nice. They are soft toned, but still pigmented very well. I will have to get used to them to use them properly in the 4 different ways. Highlighting is very smooth. My favourite (and one I wanted) was green and purple. The yellow is nice and bright, like Bic highlighters that I have used before. All the colours are fantastic: green/purple, orange/blue, and yellow/pink. Japan knows how to do pens and markers and pencils right. Can't go wrong with Zebra either. Kokuyo is on my list now. I might even go to JetPens. Well done.I was in Staples the other day and saw 5 color highlighters for a little less than this price, but I'm glad I preferred to wait for these highlighters. Once I get used to them, I know I will be happy.Only "con" I have is that they are smaller than I thought they would be, but they are perfect for travel and come in a cute case. See attached photo comparing size to a Sharpie. Enjoy!

Useful, reduces clutter
These are a good invention . So instead if 6 pens I only carry two and a till have 6 colors. And they are thinner than the typical excessive fat Hi lighter pens. Now the only thing is they need to make them refillable.

Best part is the way the colors are paired makes ...
I work with large engineering prints and have to highlight different systems in different colors. These things really make that process quicker and more enjoyable. Best part is the way the colors are paired makes a lot of sense. For example one marker has blue and orange. This is perfect for me when working on plumbing systems so I can highlight cold water in blue and instantly switch to orange for the hot water. My only complaint is some of the colors, especially blue and kind of weak. I really really wish they improved their ink

Amazing. Love these!!
If you are a planner person or if you bullet journal then these are perfect for you!! These are the only dual tip highlighters I have found that have complementary colors rather than different shades of the same color. These make it so easy to have a single highlighter in the pen loop of your planer but have 2 different colors available. Quality and durability are fantastic (these have outlasted a few sharpie highlighters). I love everything Kokuyo and these definitely live up to their level of quality.

A good find. Very helpful for saving time and conserving energy.
These are great. They're very convenient for people who like to highlight adjacent terms with different colors without flipping a highlighter over or picking up another one. I can speed through my books now. It's nice to reduce the number of steps involved in completing a task when you have motor difficulties. Some of the reviews complained these were less intense. They are. They're still visible. It's actually good that the blue and purple are less saturated because you can still read the text beneath them without any trouble.Other people said they ran out of ink quickly. Well, yes, they're a tad smaller than standard highlighters, so I imagine they would. Another thing is, you have to be careful to recap ANY highlighter the moment you're finished highlighting. Take good care of your highlighter and it will take good care of you.The beetle tip is taking a bit of time to adjust to, but I have a weak grip and less dexterity than most people. At the worst, this has resulted in small line of the other color underneath my highlighted text. It's not the end of the world and afte using it a couple of days I've gotten better.I plan to buy more when I use these up.

Great colors, but dry out quickly
I like the design and colors of these highlighters a lot. I typically use them to highlight books or academic papers and I find that they dry out quickly if I leave the cap off while reading and highlighting. A bummer since they are so useful and the dual colors make highlighting headlines and details easy. After I finish them, I won't buy them again.

Love it
I had bought one in Korea so I was super happy to be able to buy a set. Nice colors with the ability to adjust your highlight width by angling. Highlight a line of text at the same time underlining it with another color are the advantages. Will order again

Good value
Great product but some seem dryer than others. Overall i do like them.
