Great Gaming Laptop
I really like the laptop, especially the game mode button, it kicks up the fans to high speed and I believe it over clocks it or something. I've ran battlefield 5 and battlefront 2 on ultra with 70+ frames per second. It does really well. It's a gaming laptop so it needs to be plugged in or it will throttle when on battery like all gaming laptops. I wish the laptop was a bit thinner and lighter. it does weigh a lot. However, it is a quality product. it is built very well.

Won't last and good luck getting a response
Have tried to contact seller with no answers. Purchased this computer back in July, 3 months ago, screen and plastic have separated. This computer has sat on a desk and not been moved much. My son is in the service and deployed and is very disappointed with this purchase.

The worst ergonomics I have ever used. I have owned computers since the 80's this is the worst
What do I like? It has no significant redeeming qualities over other laptops. What do I dislike? Well I have had the service team at my house twice to rebuild this machine.* First, it has a hinge in the middle of the display that does not go full width *may be 5 or 6in. out of 15 plus, whats wrong with that you say? well nadle it by the display at all and the hinge destroys the laptop, I mean factory parts rebuild....terrible..who doesn't have to sometimes pick it up with one hand by the display? Never have I seen such a weak mechanical buile.* Has blue letters on black keys. Cool looking you say? Wrong, can barely see the letters even with keyboard back light on....* The registration marks (bumps) on keys f and j are pretty much indiscerable when you are typing as they are at the bottom of the keys where your fingers aren't while typing. Keeping this keyboard registered under your hands is next to impossible, and I find myself stopping to see where my fingers are all the time. What was wrong with a bump in the middle of the keys where you fingers find it all on their own.* Lastly the "num lock" key is not lighted. You can never tell if its on or off until you start entering numbers and the num lock is off and your screen jumpas all over the place due to commands that are not numbers send your cursor flying.....Total joke. And wastes more time and causes more errors than you can even comprehend until you own this POS.I have owned many Dell machines, never have i been subjected to so many problems. I would run for cover before buying this again.Plus the cost of ownership is much higher due to the fact that if you don't carry the extended full boat warranty, you will have lots of out of pocket expenses. Last time I had to use their extended warranty it made the display rebuild look like childs play as two USB sockets (out of three) went DOA and by the time the tech was done there was a new motherboard and daughterboard installed (took two trips) you cannot afford to own this laptop without the extended full meal deal warranty....NO, I WOULD NOT OWN ANOTHER ONE.....

Broken (Faulty) Hinge
My son has had this for only 6 months. Tried to contact seller, but i was passed my return date. They said to contact Dell so I did. They want to take it for 2 weeks (Kids School Laptop) plus charge me over $60 PLUS parts. So I guess no valid warrantee??? I'm still working with them but not much luck happening. If you look at this unit carefully, you will see that it's only supported by a middle Bracket system for the screen. This makes the screen shift from side to side and not held with 2 brackets at the ends of the screen like most others. Every time you open and close it, there is way too much pressure on the bracket and middle portion. The rivets holding it all together fails. This is what happened with many opening and closing of our screen. Basically, the bracket gave out and busted the screen wide open, rivets fell apart, and the screen came apart and even cracked the bottom edge. It's held together with duct tape now!!!!! I saw another review for this and a class action lawsuit. I can understand why.I don't recommend this at all. There is clearly a defect and bad design issue going on.The system itself is good. I have no issues with it. But, to expensive and to new for me to be out $800+ with zero support!Update: Dell has not gotten back whatsoever. Never shipped the shipping cont. No warrantee with big costs. Horrible service.I did take it all apart myself and got my old soldering gun and super glue out. Managed to make it work somewhat. I found there is actually 2 brackets inside the one mechanism. The tension on the single middle section was the main issue, which busted the rivets out and broke the frame apart. So the hinges were workable still but just not attached to anything. So that's how I kind of fixed it. Soldered and glued the rivets back, glued the frame, and a couple pieces of electrical tape on the bottom of the screen. Had to throw out the middle section hiding the hinges.
