Gerber Strongarm Fixed Blade Knife Plain Edge - Coyote Brown

A Strong fixed blade that likes to be outdoors. No frills knife with a good sheathe. I would recommend as a survival knife or mount on your kit for the prepared folks.

I was looking for a quality made fixed blade knife to use when hiking or camping a watched some videos of different makes an this one caught my attention. I received in about 3 days of ordering,and am very pleased with this knife , seems to be very well made and very sharp . The blade is good thickness and like the length of the blade and the handle feels really good in your hand. The sheath I like but the nylon piece to strap onto your belt is a bit confusing and I don’t like it and will probably never use it . As far as the quality of the Gerber strong arm knife and the actual sheath I really like both a would purchase again .

Very good knife perfect for all bushcraft usages,,,,it comes very sharp rubber grip handle very easy to hold on to,,,,,the instructions for the straps of the sheif in not that clear,,,but if you have worked with many knives it can be figured out with what instructions provided,,,,,,,, I highly recommend this knife

Excellent Tool for camping, self defense and bushcraft.

Beautiful knife. Well balanced and fine finish as Gerber would be known for. However, the hard case makes withdrawal stiff and difficult and dangerous. Other fine knives with these hard cases have the same problem. When they do release the blade comes out very quick and can easily be uncontrolled. I have carried fine knives with fine leather cases all my life without this kind of problem.There is no hope for these cases to snuggly and firmly and safely housing your blade.

This is an excellent all around knife. It's very sharp right out of the box, and very strong. If you're going into the woods, or someplace where a good knife is essential, then you'll want to check this knife out. It's not too big, or too small, or too heavy, the sheath is ambidextrous and has a faux molle appearance, although not as ruggedly made, it will withstand any normal use.

As with most Gerber knives, the knife itself is excellent but the sheath is the weak point. Etsy has some nice replacements. The downside to every Gerber is that not only are spending money on the knife but if you want a decent sheath you have to find one aftermarket and spend more money.
