Inspired by the stories of survivors of the 2008 Mumbai Attacks, HOTEL MUMBAI is the powerful, poignant debut of director Anthony Maras, with an ensemble cast that includes Dev Patel (Slumdog Millionaire, Lion), Armie Hammer (Call Me By Your Name, The Social Network), Jason Isaacs (The Death Of Stalin, Harry Potter), Nazanin Boniadi (Counterpart, Homeland) and Anupam Kher (Silver Linings Playbook, The Big Sick). On the 26th November 2008, a wave of devastating terror attacks throughout Mumbai catapulted the bustling Indian metropolis into chaos. In the heart of the city’s tourist district, Jihadist terrorists laid siege to the iconic Taj Palace Hotel, whose guests and staff became trapped in a heroic, day-long fight for survival. A tragic event brilliantly told
This is a film that tells of the tragic events in Mumbai when a terror attack brought chaos to the city. It mainly focuses on the events inside the hotel. It’s told with real class and is shocking when watched to remember that this actually took place. Hotel Mumbai is up there with the best films ever made that is based on real life events. A great addition to my collection

Very good film.
Very good film, better than I was expecting, very gruesome killing scenes of innocent people, very shocking a couple of times I nearly wet myself!!!, great film of an atrocious incident, but the special forces have the last hurrah!!!.

Gripping
Bravery of the ‘normal’ man & woman going about their everyday roles & excelling as human beings in adversity.

Breathless
Possibly as much because this film was based on truth, there were times when we were holding our breath. The best film for this sort of drama since ‘The Towering Inferno’

Harrowing film
If you like shouting at the tv whilst watching troops stand outside a building whilst people on the inside are murdered, you'll love this!
