Amazing item. Always struggled to cut a pineapple up but now I have this it’s so simple & easy to use. It cores & spriralised the pineapple making it ready to eat. Only mess is if the pineapple is to juicy. You can then use the case as a drinking glass for your cocktails. Love my pineapple corer

I liked the fact it does cut off the outside as intended. Peeling 4 large spuds for mash took minutes, even including the time to wash, peel then cut the tops and bottoms off.I dislike how it’s easy to catch the on button, therefore starting the cutter up, if you catch it with the grabby bit by accident.As in, my potato fell off and I tried repositioning the cutter part, caught the button and it started up again. D’oh!I wouldn’t send it back, I just expected it wouldn’t have the on button so close to the movable parts! Other than that I find it useful.If your potatoes were straight out of the ground, muddy, then I’d advise you wash them first. Otherwise it would’ve been fine if they were prewashed just to peel.UPDATE a week later:Ok so it also doesn’t like apples that are deep where the core is. It mullers the bottom as it can’t grip adequately. Still only ok for clean potatoesUPDATE JAN 2025In a nutshell it stopped even doing potatoes, so I sent it back. Short term item as I had it from 19th Dec to end of Jan.

Don't know why I didn't buy this sooner. Being partially disabled, I always had difficulty impinging vegetables. Now with this piece of kit this has become a walk in the park. Would definitely recommend it.

It might be better on peeling apples but potatoes not for me. It leaves too n bottom on so you still have to peel, but also cause ridges .

I chose this based on the excellent overall rating, and glowing customer reviews. Sadly it's not quite as good as I hoped / expected. Setting up is pretty easy. It can run on 4 x AA batteries (not supplied), or via a USB cable (supplied). It doesn't have a rechargeable battery onboard.Tried my first apple. Success. Although it misses the top and bottom. You have to peel these with the supplied 'knife' (a plastic spoon thing located in the base). It's noisy and has a cheap / tacky sound when working. The blades are round in shape, and about as sharp as the spoon.After peeling almost one apple I tried an orange. This is where things fell apart. It peeled about half a rotation (a 3mm strip) and got jammed. The 'blade' was stuffed with orange peel. I had to remove it to clean. It was a bit fiddly trying to put back, which caused the plastic clip to break. So I had to get one of the spares from the base - there are 2 spares supplied.Went for apple #2 today but decided to use a hand peeler and corer. These were quicker and did a better job.I'm gutted I wasted £20 on this. The thinking was I'd eat more fruit if I could peel everything quickly first. But in reality, a normal £3 hand peeler does a more detailed and quicker job. I can perhaps understand if someone's disabled. But no reason to buy this out of idle / laziness.

Excellent quality. Haven’t used it yet but it looks the part.
