The media could not be loaded. It's very difficult to find a closed back headphone that has a wide open sound. This HP1000 accomplishes that. At $300 this is a great deal. No need to buy thousand dollar headphones when this one will do very well. Great overall sound quality. The treble is not simblent but clear are detailed, the mids are not muddy or too forward and the bass is clear and sharp without boominess. It's very well balanced. Some have called it a V shape but in my opinion if it is, it's a very mild V shape.The materials and design are excellent and the comfort is almost perfect.Be aware that the 1/4 jack is not the best so when you are using it make sure it's on their properly or you'll have problems hearing these headphones the way they are meant to be heard. I used one of my other adapters so I wouldn't have this problem.If you can get these in sale I highly recommend them. As much of a fan as I am of the BeyerDynamic DT770 (250) for the price, if you can get this for the same cost, get the HP1000.Tip: After placing the cups over your ears pull the headphones forward a bit and the sound will improve.

This is the first audiophile-quality cans I have ever had and there was a learning curve I did not expect. First, you have to sort of slide into the quality of sound. When I first put them on my immediate reaction was this is not the quality I expected, but I was wrong, way wrong. It took a few minutes for my ears to become acclimated(so to speak) with the quality. I was hearing things I never heard before and parts I know with the detail I had never expected. Many songs, although the same song, were transformed into higher levels of artistry. Take your time and relearn your favorite music to fully enjoy these headphones. The other thing is they are actually louder than you think. The clarity of sound gives an illusion that you need to turn them up. Again after getting used to the clarity you find they are loud already.Discounting my initial reaction I give the sound quality 5 stars without hesitation. Build quality is apparent as well as soon as you pick them up and only gets better as you explore them. Everything you touch is quality workmanship.Comfort is like the temperature. The less you think about it the more ideal it is. Once you put these on you forget they are there and appreciate the musical experience without being disturbed by the physical presence of the set.As a musician, I have an intimate understanding of my own work. With this quality of sound, I found I have not been as intimate as I thought I was. Nuances and subtleties stand out as in-depth as artistic intent should be. Sometimes this comes with disappointment but that is the nature of art. One of my pieces, with these headphones and a little weed, has since become one of my proudest works. Without this quality, I would never have heard what lie just below the surface of my own musical works.I am beyond satisfied with my purchase.

SoundMAGIC HP1000 is the best headphone I've ever used. Well made and well designed. The SoundMAGIC HP1000 headphone’s offer indulgent comfort with a notably cling-free stance on the head, so hours of musical listening isn’t at all irritating. Whilst it’s true to say that the hefty headphone cups and thick headband create a chunky silhouette, it’s a serious image that certainly looks the part, with the mostly matte black body featuring some good aluminium trim. We were particularly impressed by the strong aluminium sliders and the UV oil coating on the plastic components; this has a pleasing rubbery finish that genuinely has scratch resistance, as proven by our negligent usage! Storing this pair away is made simple too, thanks to the lavish carry case with foam inserts.Interestingly the cable design SoundMAGIC have conjured up is something we’ve never seen before from them or anyone else for that matter. It looks to be proprietary, with a single cable connecting into each headphone side, conjoining within a six valve gold plated single aux plug to pop into your device of choice. We really have no complaints to make about this design; it's easy to remove the cables from the headphones for storing, and the cables are substantial.

These are a very nice set of cans that just feel right when wearing..somewhat comforting at least to my ears. Their sound signature is dynamic, airy & punchy.. therefore giving your music a nice synergy. Using an amp will also increase the quality of sound. I'm no audio expert but at this price point I would say these are fun in sound but also on an entry audiophile level.
