This is a great ignition kit
This ignition kit has several screws and spacers I imagine it was for different distributors, it fit my 009 fine. It comes with instructions with pictures. It worked great for me I would definitely recommend it!

i have a pertronix ignitor 1 installed in the very same vehicle this empi unit failed in. the pertronix worked before the installation of the empi. it worked after the installation of the empi. it's not my installation or my vehicle. it was the empi unit. no stars.

Worked for two months then quit. Order was more than 30 days so no refund. One star for each month it worked.Had a pertronix in my other vw for over 15 years, do yourself a favor, spend a little extra.

Instructions are incorrect
Instructions state for stock distributor , to place shim under magnet disc. Engine ran terrible due to binding of rotor, causing the distributor mechanical advance to stick resulting in incorrect timing at rpm, as well as rotor and cap wear. Once I removed shim engine ran fine. Has only 20 minutes running time at this point, so cannot offer reliability advise.
