More money than a new head unit but worth it to keep the stock look
I love this unit! I didn't want to install an aftermarket head unit in my 2002 Montero just to get Bluetooth and with this I didn't have to. The box tucked behind the dash and you can't tell anything is there other than the microphone, which I left peeking out of the center dash. It was easy to install, although for some reason the instructions make no mention that you have to connect the yellow wire to a 12v supply. Obvious, sure, but strange not to mention it. I had a slight clearance issue with the adapter plug; they should really make it with a 90 degree angle because the space behind the head unit wasn't deep enough to accommodate it. I had to bend the cable pretty far to get it to fit, which probably stresses the jack on the head unit. Hopefully it won't cause problems. I hear a slight speaker bump when the phone connects but it's not bad. My phone finds the Bluetooth immediately after starting the car, which is great because some systems seem to need about 30 seconds to pair.

Would you trade satellite radio for Bluetooth?
The good news - someone has finally made a Bluetooth unit for the Eclipse. The bad news - it uses the connection for the satellite radio. If you want both you'll need to keep a Phillips head screwdriver in the glove box so you can stop the car, pull the unit and change out the plugs. The unit needs power. It's the large solid blue wire in the connection on the left. Don't use the supplied connector (I couldn't get it to work). Just splice into the blue wire. Then plug in using the satellite radio connection and you're ready to pair. The sound is much better than any inline radio modulator. Oddly enough, this unit plays through CD #2 on the CD player. You'd think it would show up as the satellite radio. I would give it another star if the instructions included were clear.
