Good as ear plugs
Had them for awhile but don’t seem to do much more than ear plugs - they block outside noise but don’t amplify. Pretty much earplugs that eat a lot of #10 batteries.

Have been looking for a good pair of electronic ear plugs that met my needs
I Have been looking for a good pair of electronic ear plugs that met my needs: 1. Actively cancels gun fire and other loud noises, 2. Allows normal or enhanced hearing, 3. Fits comfortably, allow extended wearing and during hunting/shooting, 4. Does not break the bank.Happy to say that for me I have found them. These are better at all the above than any of my ear muff styles of similar technology. They perform very well at indoor ranges with large caliber weapons to include High Power rifles next to me. They are exactly as described and fit me very well with the foam tips (for me the smaller ones). I would not hesitate to recommend them. Only wish they had a lanyard attachment. But then they fit snug and only way I see them getting misplaced is by me, they should not ever be accidentally pulled out of the ear. If I should ever misplace or need a replacement I will do so with the same brand and design.

Not for me
The sound protection is good. The amplification is very poor with the three preset level. I had to return as the voice commands barely loud enough for me. Comfort and size were very acceptable.

Decent product with no support beyond the warranty period
I found these to be a decent product providing hearing protection for hunting and clay target shooting . I have them intermittently while owning. Recently the right unit quit working. I contacted Westone customer service for help. I was advised that since they were out of warranty there was no help available. I asked if I could pay for repair, buy a replacement unit or get some type of discount on a new pair. I was told there was nothing they would do to help. I was given a website and email address of their off shore supplier to contact to see if they would help. These are provided to Westone by a third party. Bottom line is their customer service is non existent on this product beyond warranty. Note there are no negative reviews on their website. I submitted a similar one yesterday’s got a message that it was under review for modification. What does that tell you?

They work...
Wore these on a five day pheasant hunt, worked very well. Did a great job protecting my hearing (almost) as well as my Sordin MSA pro headsets and didn't interfere with my gun mount or get too uncomfortable. Did very well in windy conditions or walking through high grass or corn. My MSA's always required my to turn down the volume when walking through corn stalks.Very easy to use and change volume with the push of a button even while wearing thin gloves. The reason for not giving it five stars is the batteries that came with it died within a day of constant wearing but are easily replaced with fresh batteries that are easily found at any grocery or drug store, also didn't care for the ear foam that came with the protection. They do provide a wide array of sizes of ear foam with the kit so that was a personal issue. I would absolutely recommend and would or will buy again. Have not shot sporting clays or trap with them yet but believe they will do a great job and will update when I put them through that test.

Breaks easily
I would like to give a positive review but I cannot. I have tried to wear these 2 times. Both times the rubber earpiece splits and allows full volume sound to come thru. I bought extra rubber earpieces at $30+ for 5 pairs and the new ones I just got did the same. They seem to work and feel ok but again I have not been able to wear them.

Great product in the mid-range hearing protection market!
With the understanding of what you're getting (hearing protection, not a hearing aid...standard sizing, not a custom fit product) these are terrific. I shoot a lot of skeet and bird hunt whenever possible. I was tired of heavier earmuffs that were hot and uncomfortable after extended wear. These easily insert in the ear (multiple tip sizes come with them) and have stayed in well during both fixed shooting and field/woods hunting. They muffle unwanted sounds well, and amplify others. There are 3 settings/levels of amplification depending on your setting, and a series of 1-3 audible tones to tell you which level you're on. The levels are easily adjusted by pressing a button on the outside of the unit...can be done while wearing them. My only negative comment is having to replace batteries fairly regularly. There's no off switch. You can remove the batteries after use and it seems to extend life (once you uncover the batteries, they continue to drain regardless of use), but it would be nice to be able to turn them off when not in use. Otherwise I am very happy with these, and they're a fraction of the cost of custom fit models.
