Polk hit another home run
Awesome product, was to set up, took about five minutes. Was way to tie in older systems with the new technology. Great sound quality too!

Great on some things, mediocre on others
The Polk Omni P1 has great sound, connected to my receiver. I tried a few other hifi music streamers and for sound quality, the Polk is the best. The downside is the software and lack of an on/off button. I noticed the day after I installed the Omni my VOIP was breaking up a lot. The only thing I changed on my network was the Omni. I unplugged the power supply and my VOIP phone went back to normal. It apparently uses bandwith, even when not in use.The other downside is the Polk DTS software. It crashes on my Android tablet periodically, lacks some basic functionality and is disconnected from the firmware update app, weird. It's also impossible to change from my 5.0 network to the 2.4 network connection without a factory reset and going through the whole setup process again. With some updates on the software and power command this player will be great. I got the P1 for $149 so it was a pretty good deal and I'll keep it. I'd just like to see Polk customize the software a lot.

Polk Omni P1 is a brick
I bought this thinking the Polk brand would deliver a superior product and listening experience. I unfortunately found this to be wrong. The Omni P1 is a heavily flawed unit. I am a pretty savvy tech person yet this device would not properly set-up over wireless and would not accept updates. I even tried the "manual" process using a memory card and downloading the zipped updates, no luck and the system would not update. Instructions both in the box and online are miserable. Customer support is not Polk but some third party. First person I spoke to did not even know what the P1 product was and promised a "supervisor" would contact me to help. Never happened. I called back over a week later. Again the tech support person had limited experience with the Omni line and struggled with the P1. Second service person was also unable to resolve the problem and actually hung up once it became clear he was unable to resolve the issue. I'm sending this back and I will never venture into the Polk audio world again. There are many other options with companies that have much better WiFi product builds and customer service reputations (i.e. Sonos).

Disappointing
Product as many have said...lacking and currentlly unsupported. Works minimally, but does not output anything over 48hz sampling over coax or optical output, even tho app supports higher under critical listening mode. If you just output over analog (ie P1 internal dac), sound breaks up if source stream over 24/96.Believe polk as a DM company has dumped dts play fi going forward.. so not supporting firmware updates app looking for (and sure needs!)Returning, too bad as $99 for hires streamer, if worked, would be sweet!Note, polk omni utility app required for firmware update notification...no longer exists on google play store!!

Sounds great, software interface troublesome and instructions lacking
The sound quality is great and much fuller and cleaner than the two Bluetooth devices I had previously tried (and returned). In addition range is my whole house and 100ft into the yard, so the full WiFi range. As other reviewers mentioned the setup through the software did not work smoothly. With both the IPhone and PC could not connect with the Polk App or Plex to set up the device. There was no explanation in the instructions what the blinking or color changing indicator light on top of the device means, it shows blue when everything is connected and working BTW, white or blinking orange for other conditions. To configure, had to load the app on an old android phone and set up the device. Once it was on the network and named the other devices could find it, but 10 previous tries with multiple iPhones (7 and 8) could not do the setup. Sound is great so good purchase, once set-up.

Works Great - easy to set up- connects to my phone every time I use it
I have an audio system that distributes audio in a few rooms of my house. its an older system. I wanted to stream audio from my phone but not via bluetooth. The polk uses wifi and plugs into one of the inputs on my receiver. set up was simple, using it has been effortless. Now I can walk around the house listening to music, change the track and volume right from my phone.

Inital setup via App and Firmware update failed numerous times. Manual setup was a breez, works very well for streaming.
Can be a pain to setup initially. The auto firmware update failed numerous times, to the extent it would get stuck and lose wifi signal, several start - restart, even when kept 3ft across from the wifi router would fail to connect. I almost threw it out.Through app setup was such a pain for me. Then I read the Play-Fi website using the manual process.A laptop and web browser connected to this device's hotspot wifi directly. I manually downloaded and updated the firmware then manually set up the SSID & Password to my wifi router through the web browser interface. The signal receiving antenna is weak in this device, it always lost the 5Ghz signal but would lock on to the 2.4Ghz signal, I settled for this. (my Cisco wifi router is kept in the same room.)Restart after manual setup, and now works very well. Play-Fi is the reason I bought this. Streams Spotify to my DAC, subscribed to 320kbps, streams at 16/48, so says my Naim DAC via digital coaxial output. No drop outs or any other issues. I am using only one unit. Can't comment on grouping or zonal streaming. Will try Tidal Hi Resolution soon.

Giant Fail, returning ASAP
Wow, worst streaming product I’ve ever used, and very disappointing from Polk. Doesn’t recognize Echo devices, not compatible with or recognized by Alexa, terrible interface with Tidal repeatedly dropping the link (didn’t bother with Spotify), repeatedly lost WiFi router and had to go through initialization mode multiple times, wont do software updates and on and on and on.It’s going back ASAP.
