Ibanez AEG70L Left-Handed Acoustic-Electric Guitar - Tiger Burst High Gloss

At 63, I decided to try and teach myself guitar to play in church. Got some lessons and a cheap $150 acoustic. It was difficult going. A friend suggested if I was serious, investing in a quality instrument would keep me from getting discouraged. My Ibanez AEG70L arrived today. I was amazed at the quality of craftsmanship. It is well made and beautiful. To my novice ear it sounds great and the ease of playability is wonderful. Tuned it up fresh out of the box, and was ready to go. Well worth the mild investment. I am enjoying lessons and practice time immensely now!

This is a good guitar and would recommend it for a beginner / novice level player but you probably have that figured out if you are looking at this review ;-)

Tone of this guitar is much different then expected but it will be great for finger picking.

Was not ready to play out of the box. I had to adjust the action nearly beyond what is playable. There is mild damage to the wood panel on the inside of the guitar next to the pickup. So there’s a loose sliver of wood peeled partially off and I don’t understand how that happened. I feel as though they didn’t check to see if it could be played properly or for defects because it is left handed, but that is speculation. After adjustments, it sounds very nice for the price.

Very nice little guitar for the money. I had to file the bridge down a little to make the action better but other than that it was ready to go out of the box. Has nice tone while it’s plugged in.
