DO NOT PURCHASE!!! MINN KOTA SHADY BUSINESS!!!
DO NOT BUY THIS MOTOR!!! MINN KOTA IS THE WORST COMPANY MY HUSBAND AND I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH!!! THEY DON’T STAND BY THIER PRODUCTS OR WARRANTY! As a tradition we go fishing on Christmas morning. We were in 80 feet of water. The only boat on the lake. That’s why we like to go on Christmas morning. We went out to about 80 ft of water. We stopped put the motor out and went to put the lines out. The motor quit working, not only that, it would not retract back up out of the water. We had to limp our way back to the marina. We then had to get tools to take the motor off of the boat so we could load it on the trailer, and bring it home. They required us to take it to an Authorized Service Center 2 hours away to be looked at because it is still under warranty. They came to the conclusion that the only way what broke on the motor broke, was that we hit something! We DID NOT hit anything! There was nothing to hit!!! They now will not warranty the motor. If I could give negative 100 stars I would! This is a shady company, and of course don’t want to admit they made a bad motor and so now they are screwing over the little guy!
