Universal Laptop Charger with LCD Display 45W Ultra Slim AC Adapter Power Supply Cord with USB Port 5v 2.1a for Mobile| Tablet- for Notebooks Lenovo HP Toshiba Samsung Acer Asus Sony and More

I bought this for a DIY project to replace the godawful external wall warts for an old B/W battery-operated portable TV and the digital TV converter which I had mounted underneath. I needed a 12v power supply for the TV and a 5v supply for the converter, and I wanted the new unit to be small enough to fit INSIDE battery bay of the portable TV (which once held 8 C batteries) so that everything would be self-contained and on one plug. The LVSUN was the perfect size, seemed very well made, and in my testing barely got warm on the 12v setting (I didn't test it on the higher voltages). For the digital converter, I used the 5v USB phone charger port on the LVSUN (I simply hacked the barrel tip from the converter's old wall wart onto a USB cable). For the TV, the 12v hookup was going to be a bit trickier as LVSUN did not have a barrel tip available in the standard 5.5/2.1mm size used for most 12v electronics, and you HAVE to use one of their tips to set proper voltage on the LVSUN supply. So, the easiest solution I found was to mate their 4.8/1.7mm tip (included for a 12v HP Laptop) to an inline 4.8/1.7 female socket I found at Mouser Electronics and then I soldered my way back to the 5.5/2.1 tip for the TV. Removing 3' of excess cord on the supply side of the LVSUN (between the ferrite choke and the elbow for the barrel tip) was the hardest part, but it was the only way to make everything fit inside (be warned, the signal wire which runs between the elbow and the unit itself to set the voltage is quite small). Have been using this rig for almost 5 months with no problems, and am very glad to finally have the power supply inside the TV where it belongs. I would highly recommend this unit.P.S. For anyone who is interested in the digital voltage gauge built into the supply cord--it does indeed appear to read actual voltage (the numbers do change a bit as your devices warm up) as opposed to simply displaying a "canned" setting. It also shows the 5v read out as well. I had to chop it out of mine due to space concerns, but it could be very handy for other DIY projects.

I temporarily lost the cord to my work laptop and was frantic to find one for it. It was hard to do because the laptop is so old. They were also very expensive. And then I stumbled upon this gem. What I love is that it has adapters you can plug into the end that will work in all different kinds of laptops and electronics. It was also affordable, relatively speaking. I can keep this and its parts with me while traveling, instead of carrying around a bunch of loose cords. The only complaint I have is that the pieces don't stay together well and can disconnect from each other relatively easily. But if you're sitting at a stationary site and don't bump the cord too much, you'll stay plugged in.

Customer service was excellent and tried to do everything possible to make it work. In the end, I can't use it for that laptop but can for another. Very responsibe company that really seems to care.

Nice looking and well made. Did not work for me. Even though the specs looked good and matched the OEM power supply it cannot power my laptop. Beware voltage selection is a factor of the tip you use. A tip may fit your device, but not supply the correct voltage. Ended up keeping it. I can probably use it for something.

I Got a brand new phone and I know I needed to cover it asap. Bought a great case on Amazon so it came that same evening and now needed to get this to cover all else that the case did not cover. It came the next morning. It was easy to install and now I feel save.

Excellent product, unfortunately did not work with a Dell Inspiron 14 5000 laptop, although this product looked like it had the right connections for this laptop, when connected the computer would briefly get power then immediately stop, I had to buy an OEM power supply, perhaps a different connector at the end would have worked. The product itself was great, and the output voltage would change depending on the connector you put on the end. Wish it had worked for what I needed it for.
