I’ve had an issue with rats for a few months and after long discussions with a couple of pest control companies I was convinced to buy a rat gate from my recent pest man, I was dubious at first but after trying every other option I felt I had no choice, and what a great choice it was !!!It arrived the next day so I called my pest guy to come and install it, unfortunately he couldn’t get to my home for 2 days, I decided I’d have a go myself as it read easy to install on the packaging, and it was, it literally took me 15 minutes and I’m no handy man !! Best of all I no longer have a rat problem whatsoever, I’m so annoyed I didn’t know about this product sooner as it would’ve saved me many a sleepless night. I’m so happy with it, it also has a wire to check it’s function easily. Brilliant well made British steel product that I would recommend to anyone. And the box it comes in is handy for storage !!

NO MORE RATS had rats in our downstairs bathroom for a year tried everything fitted the Ratgate and they have gone away. Great quality and really easy to fit, definitely recommend. Sam

Trap door is good quality, however the screw and raw plug is not of good quality and cross thread wore out when screwed in. Had to use replacement screws and raw plugs. Expensive for what it is. Hopefully it will work. Also to note it was well packaged in a sturdy tube. I can come confirm that this worked for me as no more rats have been able to enter house via drains.

Great product that was easy to fit and excellent value. I have tried various products to stop the rats which have failed but this product seems to have done the job admirably.

We were advised to buy this device by our Council's pest control department as they said that despite being very expensive it was the best. We agree but were not sure how to fit it and were relieved when the Council's 'rat man' fitted it for us. It is not that it is particularly difficult to fit but putting one's arms deep into a main household sewer is not everyone's idea of having fun and even he took several attempts before it would fit properly.However this is a good product and has given us peace of mind as it is a significant defence against rats which entered our house via the sewer recently and they should now be blocked from any re-entry in the future.

I purchased the Ratgate because we have had rats in our kitchen extension for the last 12 months, the builder had not sealed off an old junction properly so we needed to get a device that would stop the rats coming into the property . We fitted it into the manhole outside our kitchen, the fitting of the device was so easy and is very secure. We have noticed that the rat problem is now sorted and we haven’t had any problems since. I would 100% recommend this product. It saved us having to get the floor dug up which has underfloor heating and would ruin our beautiful kitchen.
