Recipe, Tools and Technique
Short Review:Mix 4tsp powder to 200ml milk. Using a handheld throther, mix until powder has blended and milkshake is desired thickness. For a smoother shake, using a handheld throther mix 4tsp powder to 50ml milk until powder has blended, then add remaining 150ml and mix until desired thickness. You must use a throther (mine is a £2 no brand one and works great) or some other tool, this will not hand mix. The recipe fits a standard sized mug.Longer Review:This is a great inexpensive product. In the description the company has listed directions for use several times, but this is not on the packaging. Nonetheless I have done some experiments and find my above recipe the sweet spot. Add more or less powder for weaker or stronger taste. I do find the weaker it is, the more you get that 'I've chewed gum for too long' taste. You'll know it when you taste it.I find milkshakes a convince drink, so I don't want to pull the blender out and clean that up every time I want a shake. So I was hesitant to buy, especially with the mixed reviews. But I eventually bit the bullet during Prime Day and ordered all three flavours.I have a cheap handheld milk throther that I use for tradtional powdered milkshakes/hot chocolates and 30 seconds with that and the shake is ready. Very quick and easy, minimal clean up.In the photos, I added 4tsp chocolate powder and 200ml milk. As you can see it looks a little bit grainy, but you can't taste it. I added 4tsp banana powder and 50ml milk, mix, then 150ml milk, mix. As you can see it looks much smoother and combined. The strawberry one was the experimental one (hence so much drunk) I added 1/4tsp at a time up to 4tsp where it tasted right. The flavours of all of them are good. The banana is my favourite personally. I agree with the company, these are good 'base' milkshake to add syrups, cream and pieces too. However they tastes great on their own (which is how I will mostly drink this). They are thick milkshakes, but not strong (strong enough to hold a straw for example). I've added ice cream (forgot to take a picture) and that provides the structure for a 'scoopable' shake. I think on the days I'm trying to be fancy I would do this with cream, sauces and fruit or chooclate pieces.Overall this is a tasty, cheap and convenient drink, if you make it right. It can be as easy as the traditional powered milkshakes to make, again if you use the right tool (throther instead of spoon).I look forward to trying the companies syrups and seeing how these enhance the taste!

This is NOT milkshake mixture. READ MORE!
Whatever this actually IS cannot easily be determined. it certainly is NOT milkshake mixture.Coarsely ground and virtually insoluble unless left in milk for 12 hours. It then produces a brown gritty highly viscous tasteless brown semisolid which could not be drank and would need a spoon to eat.It might instead be originally intended to be used as a gellato (icecream) base to be frozen when reconstituted. The constituents indicate this. I suggest that it has lost its identity in translation. Additionally the measure of contents is wrong. Without packing it has a net weight of 750g. If you desire chocolate milkshake mix then Nesquick at a similar cost is a much better product to consider.

Really nice!
This is lovely. Received today. Popped 1.5tbsp into my NutriNinja with some milk and 3 ice cubes. Lovely cold thick shake. Could do with a little more chocolate flavour but I have a preference for strong flavours.

Warning
So Banana milkshake is notoriously hard to get hold of these days. But I would keep looking. Seriously. Unless you're desperate. It will not mix unless you have a blender, which I have so that's not a problem but its a annoying just if I want a quick glass of the yellow nectar. Also the texture quickly become jelatinous and almost chewy in all the wrong ways when you do mix it. If you add less you don't get this issue but then for me it's too weak. Taste is good except for a almost wheat-y taste or oaty in the background , not bad in anyway just not what I want. So get it if your desperate for cheap banana milkshake but if you have the money just hunt down some nesquick or somehting

Be creative
I drink a lot of chocolate milkshakes and have done for years. I've used Nesquik, Crusha and Cadbury Choc Shake amongst others in the past. All were OK but nothing like the thick milkshakes you get from takeways such as McDonalds I recently decided to step up my game and bought a Vevor catering standard, spindle type milkshake mixer. I was getting decent shakes using Cadbury Choc shake powder with some ice cream and milk whisked together. However, my Choc shake powder ran out and it seems Cadbury have stopped making it so I had to look for an alternative. The first thing I found was Schmoo milkshake powder. That makes great thick milkshakes but is horrendously expensive at around £35 for 1.8Kg.Although I've only just started the Schmoo and it will last me for some months yet, I decided it's too expensive, so looked to see what other products are available. I searched Amazon for milkshake powder and found the Simply one at a fraction of the price. The problem is most of the user reviews aren't exactly encouraging but I did notice a common theme of people complaining it doesn't dissolve very well, it's too thick, and doesn't tastes very chocolately.Being thick isn't a problem for me as that's what I want in a milkshake. The other two problems are resolved if you read the advert carefully. The lack of flavour can be explained by the low chocolate proportion of the mix at 13% , so maybe it needs some more chocolate flavouring. The second is the advert specifically mentions the shake thickens when whisked, not stirred with a spoon, which seems some people are trying! I'm sure any kind of mixer will do.I decided at £4.92 per Kg, it wasn't much of a risk to try the Simply product and I'm glad I did. First of all, I've noticed all the milkshake powders I've tried look similar to the cheap supermarket drinking chocolate powder I have in the kitchen cupbard, the ingredients lists are very similar too. Noticeably, the drinking cholate has 25% cocoa solids, which is around double the Simply shake powder, so I've been experimenting with mixing the two. I've found two teaspoons of drinking chocolate to one of Simply milkshake powder works very well when whisked in a glass containing some ice cream or crushed ice to chill the mixture. I did try reversing the ratio with two of Simply and one of drinking chocolate and yes, it's too thick for me. Three teaspoons of Simply would probably come out at something closer to Angel Delight dessert it works so well. If you want to use nothing but Simply mix, use it very sparingly if you don't like thick shakes. At the end of the day, you need to be creative. The Simply powder doesn't actually come with any instructions so you need to use it whatever way produces the result you are looking for. Personally, combining the Simply mix with cheap drinking chocolate powder gives me just the results I'm looking for at a very economical price. I definitely recommend it and will be buying more for myself when I run out.
