Some tips and tricks for using Manus Bond 65
Okay, this stuff seems to work great. With that being said however I want to give people a couple of tips that might help them during their installation. First of all I used it to seal the front seam on the roof of my race car trailer which has a metal roof. The Manus Bond looks pretty similar to what I removed and even though I could have probably just installed this product over the old stuff I recommend removing your old sealant. I used a multi-tool, specifically a Dremel Multi-Max and with the scraper attachment it made short work of removing the old sealant.Next I used a metal brush on an angle grinder to get everything down to bare metal. Be sure you wear eye and ear protection and gloves while performing all these operations. SAFETY FIRST!Then I used Acetone on a rag to make sure the surface was clean. Now is where the tips come in. First of all they tell you to use a trowel or some type of spatula to apply it but if I were doing it over again I would just use some thick bristle disposable brushes. If you are sealing close to the edge of the trailer this stuff will run off and make a mess. Like I said, it's not as thick as you think. I suggest using popsicle sticks or some small pieces of wood or even plastic along the edge so it won't drip and run down your trailer. If it does happen and you get to it soon enough you can use WD-40 and paper towels to clean it up without destroying the paint on the sides of the trailer.Overall I think it is going to work well. The factory product lasted nearly thirteen years before it developed a leak. Good luck and happy sealing!

It spreads like liquid rubber and seals well
I use this product to repair metal roofs on semi-trailers. It spreads like liquid rubber and seals well. Best that I have found so far for sealing seams and tears, or around metal patches riveted over fork-lift punctures. Also use their product that spreads with a calking gun -- it too is great -- and thicker for those who have to fill holes instead of seal seams.

Manus Bond is the best I've found and only need to use it once ...
Have used this product for years to keep roof of freight trailer sealed against the elements. Manus Bond is the best I've found and only need to use it once a year to coat roof seams before winter sets in. Easy to apply and has never lost adhesion to the trailers bare metal roof.
