Perfect for deaf customers needing a voice to text captioning system.
I am deaf, lost my hearing because of a head trauma few years ago. Communication has been a problem, so I found a android app that works great with translating voice into text using my phone's mic. It also supports external devices like Bluetooth mics. I searched for a mic that would work with my phone and voice to text program. The Nolan LiveMIC2 works like a dream. Connects easily, voice to text translation is almost perfect, depending on how the person using the mic speaks. It works better than using a white board and markers to communicate. I give my doctors, therapist, teachers in school the mic to clip on, then I can follow along using my phone, sort of a live, instant closed caption system for those who don't know ASL (American Sign Language). I don't know if it will work with all phones, it works great with mine. The mic is light weight, plus it also comes with a clip on Lavalier Lapel Microphone that is a omni-directional condenser mic which plugs into the Nolan LiveMIC2 for even better voice dictation. The Nolan can then be put into a pocket or clipped onto a belt or inside pocket or support. Also the Nolan mic has several built in mics, one on top for direct pickup from a speaker, and a front mic for onmi-directional pickup. I found that if one mic doesn't work correctly, switching mics usually solves the issue. I recommend this product. I am sure there are many possible uses for the mic but for what I use it for, it's perfect.

Sound quality is pretty low.
The product works as intended, but when paired with my laptop the sound quality is very low.I do podcasts on youtube. One of the microphones on my laptop died, and I was hoping that the bluetooth mic would be an adequate replacement. Unfortunately, the noise floor on all the microphones included with the unit is unacceptably high. Also, all frequencies above 4k is cut, and the frequencies below that boosted for a very tinny effect. This may be due to the transport protocol that is used, as the external microphone when plugged into the mic port of my laptop has a much better range, but still the noise floor is unacceptably high.In short, the microphones in my laptop has a better range and noise floor than this dedicated microphone. In the end I bought a USB microphone locally that is both much cheaper and delivers a much better sound quality.

great idea -- terrible product
Great idea -- terrible, unacceptable, product as a bluetooth microphone for a JBL bluetooth 5 speaker. The latency is very High. The latency is so high it unusable. And there is a good deal of audio feedback distortion to the point this is unusable even from 10 feet away....

I am so excited to have finally found a product that works
I am a lawyer. I refuse to attend in-person jury trials with just a cloth/paper mask. It's not safe and I will not defer to popular opinion about COVID. I don't want your germs and I don't care what you think about it.When there's something that has to be done in-person and I'm unable to wear a 3M respirator mask with cartridges for whatever reason, I wear a Covidisor -- think Sandy Cheeks plastic bubble hat. People can hear me speaking but I can't hear anything through that plastic bubble. If I'm wearing a plastic bubble, I need to be able to hear through the plastic bubble.I got Bluetooth earphones, thinking I'd pair the earphones with my phone and use the Sound Amplifier app to hear the people around me talking. That's no good; the latency is awful and the cellphone only picks up sound from *right* next to it. I've bought and returned various products to Amazon over the last few weeks -- nothing connects to my phone, not even mics that say that they're meant for Android devices. Not even if I attach separate Bluetooth transmitters to the mics. I've been very concerned about identifying a functional solution.I'm now returning the last other microphone and transmitter. They don't work. This one does.I don't have to use the Voice Amplifier app or any other app with this. The LiveMIC2 bluetooth microphone pairs directly with the FLAME2 Bluetooth Sport Headphones. I experimented this morning. The mic picks up my toddler's babbling clearly from across the room and transmits it so quickly that there's no immediately-apparent echo/lag. I am confident that I will be able to use this to have a conversation with jurors and to hear the judge (etc.) clearly under my plastic COVID bubble. Because it connects straight to the earbuds, I won't have to worry about bringing my phone and an external power source for my phone.I will update this if it becomes apparent that this does not work as-needed for some reason -- for instance, if it can't transmit signal through a plastic bubble for some reason, or if the battery life poses a problem -- but for now, I have trial-and-errored enough other failed products to be very pleased with this one. It connects easily. It picks up sound at a suitable distance. It transmits quickly. The sound quality from across room is adequate to understand, which is all I need from it.5/7 perfect.

A great pair for bone conduction earphone
I have been searching for a bluetooth sound amplifier to pair with my Shockz bone conduction earphone andAlead Nolan LiveMIC2 suits this purpose. I can watch tv now without increasing the tv volume and hear clearly people talking to me without asking them to repeat what they are saying. Highly recommended to those using bone conduction hearing aid.

Hard to reset
It stoped working, was great as t when it worked. Said it was connected to Bluetooth, but it wasn’t connected to my hearing aids. I don’t know what it was connected to. I kept resetting it and resetting it making sure the right Mike was on and I just wouldn’t connect.

Remote Bluetooth mic
Works with my hearing aid. Good range. Handy for noisy areas when I want to hear certain voices or music with less room echo. Uses the old mini-usb connector. Quite small with handy clip. Well made. Rechargeable battery.
