it fits right
i aquired another snapper 1988 series 6 model as a back up mower, the cap on the gas tank had a bad seal in it. this one fit perfect and does not leak when i close the vent and stand it up on its end. seems like a quality gas cap.

Good Replacement Gas Cap
The original gas cap for my Snapper riding mower was one of those that had a rotating dial for indicating the amount of gas in the tank. It began to leak, and I couldn't read the dial any more, so I bought this one. It works just fine, and was much cheaper than an original replacement. I would recommend this cap to other customers.
