Great so far!
This DVR replaced a Swann that died from a 12 volt DC power supply incident. No fault of the Swann. This is my third DVR since 2012 so I have some skin in the game. I chose the Tigersecu based on reviews and am not disappointed in any way. I was able to migrate the existing hard drive (it didn't die from the event) from the Swann and added another video HDD into the Tiger with no issues. All the existing cameras connected with no problems. The mobile app works great and connects faster than Swann's app. Video resolution is better than the Swann. Have already done a firmware update which again was very easy. Just follow the instructions on Tigersecu's website and all will be well. Have not used their tech support but would expect there would be no issues here also.

Great tech support
Received notification of early delivery and the product a few days earlier than anticipated which was very helpful. Very shortly after receiving the product got an email from tech support thanking for purchase and with detailed and helpful info on a quick start with first use. This particular product was a replacement DVR for an existing 16 camera setup and integration was quick and easy with the new DVR recognizing the existing cams (Lorex MPX - similar to HDCVI) instantly. Images on the monitor were just as clear as before and possibly better. Incorporating the Tigersecu program with my desktop computer was also a snap. Connecting my cellphone with their mobile app did prove a bit tedious. It took a few tries, trials and errors to get it working right. One tip for anyone considering purchasing their DVR w/o a hard drive as I did. This DVR came with not one but two sets of hard drive data/power cables already installed, a big plus. All in all I am extremely pleased with the DVR and even more impressed with tech support. I did my due diligence and narrowed down my choices to this particular product mostly because of the good reviews re tech support.

Works decent, not too easy to set up and customer support isn't very good.
Works, but setting remove viewing on my phone was a major pain and I still cannot get it to work on my home PC for remote viewing. Calling customer support was a bit of a challenge since the techs have extremely heavy accents and are almost impossible to understand.

Great product with excellent customer support
I order from Amazon more than I want to admit to and am guilty of reading a lot of reviews, but never taking the time to write one until now. I purchased a house with an older Samsung DVR Security Recorder that needed updating, but the 8 Samsung SDC 9441BCN cameras were still good. When reading reviews for a potential purchase, it raises a flag to me when people mention excellent customer service, because why did they need customer service in the first place?After receiving the unit, I had trouble integrating it with my MacBook Pro to use instead of a monitor and also using the app on my iPhone. I called the support number and Sandee was the most helpful and kind customer support person I have ever encountered. She walked me through everything, getting the system up and running along with integrating it with my devices. I can not say enough good about this unit, once it's setup and Sandee is over the top! I ended up adding a 9th camera and went with the TIGERSECU Super HD 1080P Wide Angle Dome Security Camera with OSD Switch for the inside living room, which also works great. If you purchase this and need help, don't hesitate to call Sandee and get ready to be impressed like myself.

The recorder is amazing.
There is nothing that I dislike about the recorder. My son had to do a little reading, but it didn’t take long to hook up the system. The Camara showed everything in it’s path. You can even see objects at night. I love the fact that my son live in one state and I live in another state, but we both are able to view the activities around the house on our tablets and phones. The pictures are very clear. I like the fact that I can easily search back to see what happened two or three hours earlier. I was impressed that the recorder is capable is showing 16 Cameras at one time. The system is a nice size, not big and bulky. Overall, I’m very pleased with my purchased.

Worked great when it worked!
We purchased the DVR in April 2022 and it quit working just over a year later. I've troubleshoot it for hours and changed cables out and still get no screen or pop-up menus on my monitor. You get what you pay for! Cheap made-in-China crap!

32x playback and rewind is really like 5x
The setup was easy and you can definitely access the feeds remotely with both computer amd phone app which is great. My only issue is the playback amd rewind for review at maximum speed of 32x is actually only about 5x which makes trying to speed watch footage extremely difficult. This is definitely important when you are looking for a specific event. Software update is definitely needed for that.

Awesome support
Have had this unit for about a year working fine for what it is. Let's be real the apps for windows etc are meh and the UI and stuff is like working with 12 year old android or something but once working it does the job and shows the cameras great on the TV I have it hooked to. This past week things went haywire diff cameras stopped working and then all stopped etc. Opened a ticket w tigersecu and immediately had a tech called May reach out and offer to call me. She walked through logical efficient steps of testing no bs like reboot it etc but actually had me check cameras for power to them as well as determining that was the issue had me test couplers and finally the power supply which appears to be faulty as the other supply is allowing it to work fine. They are sending a new power supply out and I'm mostly back in business now. Extremely impressed w the support and would buy their products again just based on this. Thanks!
