Easy fix
Pretty easy to change the whole control arm and ball joint assembly. I had previously just tried replacing just the ball joint and had damaged it in the process.

Look close at this when you get it, one of mine was NOT what was described, but I didn't notice until it was too late to return!
Be aware when ordering these you may not get what you expect - I purchased 2 of these and they are very different from each other - one is like the item described/pictured, but the other does NOT have the changeable ball joint - it it just has the regular hard-pressed in one. Both were in a box with the same exact part number. Unfortunately, by the time I got to put these in the vehicle, my return window expired so now I guess I'm stuck with them, but if you do order them, check them right away to make sure you got what you expected.
