Q: Can this material be bent/folded in to different shapes without breaking/tearing?

The product is flexible plastic shim stock. The thicker the stock, the less flexible it is. I used an 8 thou piece I cut with scissors to about 1" by 1/2" and shimmed a rifle scope in the holder. The scope body is 1" in diameter. I hope this helps, it's the only application I've used shim stock for that required bending. As far as tear proof, even the thinnest pieces can't be torn with your hands, like you'd tear a piece of paper.
