If you're like me that thought this would charge from the base.... unfortunately it would not (not sure if this is expect or not, but the fact is that it does not). Outside of that it works OK, have used for a few days, so far no issues other than not charging. We'll see how it holds up.****UPDATE ****After publishing the review, seller reached out to me and sent a replacement free of charge, replacement works like a charm. I am very satisfied with the product and service.

Works as advertised. Yet with my iPhone 14 Pro Max and the case I’m using it constantly struggling to fit it without pressing the volume buttons while charging it. Hoping someone finds a solution to alleviate that glaring issue. Obviously it’s not advertised to work with the newer models of iPhone but a resolution would be awesome.

Great experience from unboxing, to the intuitive toolless 10 second installation to the execution during the ride.I bought 2 because I have 2 BMW bikes with navs. However I will probably give 1 to a friend because it is so simple to pop in or out just like a nav unit.Picture is of install on BMW F900R, for when I feel like getting arrested as opposed to getting dirty on the GS.1. Packaging is great. Tight fit and well protected.2. There are quite a few things you don’t need, unless you don’t have the full gps prep package. Then those extra parts come in handy. Otherwise toss the extra parts you don’t need.3 just take the darn cradle out and insert in your gps cradle exactly like you would a gps.4. Slide the holder down and insert your phone then release the holder. It tightly grips your phone for even the most raucous off-road pounding.5. Insert supplied usb cable into USB port on unit and other end into your phone. There are 2 USB ports on unit and cable has multiple dongles so you can charge phone and go pro at same time. NOICE!!!!Quality of each part is really good.Everything was very intuitive. Super pleased with it. RECOMMEND

I was a little confused at first because there were a bunch of parts and no instructions. I have a BMW r1250r with a cradle for a Garmin GPS. I simply removed the cover and replaced it with the phone mount. I didn’t need the extra nuts/bolts/wires/etc.It comes with a multipurpose USB connector but I just used a regular (4”) iPhone cable. It plugs into the mount and charges my phone while I ride.Hopefully they make a wireless charging version of this soon. I’d be all over that.

Headline. This is cheap and you can tell when you see it, but that should not be an issue given the price. It does comes with with 2 problems which makes it unusable for me:1. DOES NOT FITS iPhone 11 ProMax. The volume down key is pressed while on the mount. A smaller phone should work (I tested with an iPhone XS Max and an Samsung Galaxy S8 (the big one)). Both worked good, the only problem is with my current iPhone.2. If you're using the provided power cable in a non-BMW bike, you'll have to saw a plastic piece for the cable to be routed succesfuly. Not a mayor work if you have the tools.

Work great on my BMW 1250 GS.At the beginning I had a issue with my Samsumg because of the side buttoms... those were pressed by the mount and constantly activates features.... but I changed the case and problem solved

This fits the BMW gps mount on my R1250RS and my iPhone 10 Xr is held firmly, but it presses on the side buttons and accidentally activated the emergency feature and started calling my contacts. I have an otterbox case on the phone. You might or might not have a similar problem. If I turn it the other way so the charging port is on the left side of the cradle it doesn’t push the buttons but then you cannot charge it. Usually I don’t need to charge it anyway. Aside from that, it’s nice to have turn directions on the bmw display and the map scrolling on the phone
