Most of these elements go into a chamber attached to the A/C condenser

Q: Do you use Metal or plastic cover?

It depends what is it the actual condenser. Mine was the white plastic one (06 RX 400h).

Q: I bought oem denso a/c compressor with denso condenser, do i need to get this dryer?

Not a requirement to change out the compressor. But with all of the refrigerant already emptied it’s not hard to switch out. There is a mounted tube on the side of the condenser. The question states you also got a Denso condenser. I don’t know if the drier also comes with a new condensing unit.
