Denso 478-1500 Receiver Drier

Fit perfect. It came with 2 different caps (one plastic one aluminum). My car uses the plastic one. When I removed the old one, it was black and had oil in it. The new one was white and clean.

Installed yesterday with a newer compressor and condenser flush. Works great after vacuum and charge

I bought this for my 1st gen Scion XB. I replaced the compressor, so I needed to replace the drier. It is a perfect fit.

AC stopped blowing cold and figured while fixing it this would be a good thing to swap out and yeah, the old one was full of dye.

A well-made part

I originally purchased the Chinese dryer because it was prime. Unfortunately it did not fit so I ordered this one and it fit perfectly. Also the Chinese dryer desiccant came in an unsealed bag. Since it is a third party seller and not prime it took 3 days to receive (better than I etimated) but my car was down for the duration. The dryer is located in the condenser on the driver's side. I was able to install this on my RX from underneath without removing the condenser. Remove the two brackets on the bottom and you can get the plug out using a 14mm hex (allen). The desiccant bag is then removed using long needle nose pliers.

Easy job . Just remove lower air dam under your truck. On driver side you will see the allen fitting . Remove it use a pick to remove the old bag out . Then replace with the new one. Easy job

For 2004 toyota echo. I ordered this along with a condenser not knowing it already had one installed. However it was tiny and cheap looking so I'm very glad I purchased this as well for better ac performance
