Fourth time to replace
OK, so it’s an old laptop. These fans don’t last even 2 years. But, ya gotta have them working. Check YouTube for the procedure.

Easy drop-in replacement
Had the fan go out in my old Dell laptop. This was the perfect drop-in replacement and has worked well ever since. Be sure to watch the iFixIt video completely through first as there is a small cable underneath the fan that is easy to dislodge if you don't know its there before removing the old fan.
