Leadership Theory: Cultivating Critical Perspectives Hardcover – 7 April 2017

When the book discussed Leadership theory it was relatively informative. The frustrating aspects of the book were the constant references to socialist narratives and the plights of those under represented in certain demographics. If you want to read about the oppressive white man and the influences they have had on society (all negative in the opinions of the author) then this is the book for you. The whole premise of the author, is to upset the status quo of what social constructs are in the West) to be more like what he wants or would like to see, which ironically demonstrates good leadership on his part, to attempt to navigate away from current societal norms. Although disappointing when you want to learn about leadership theory and end up reading socialist drivel. Obviously this book is going to be divisive if you still resonate towards Great Man Theory and not the utopia of socialism.
