Got the old Craftsman 40cc chainsaw, up and running again!
The media could not be loaded. Hard time finding parts for this old of a saw. Its been sittin g for over 20 years. It's a craftsman 358.350080 Model. the shops wouldn't touch it. I replaced all of the fuel lines, air and fuel filters, spark plug, and finally the Carburetor. Rerouting The fuel lines can be a pain. It's a lot easier if you slice one end of the fuel line in half lengthwise about 3" from the end you are inserting into the tank. Then grab it with a long nose pair of pliers. I bought cheap 11" ones from Harbor freight. They are a must have. Trust me on this. The only problem was this carburetor wasn't an exact fit, but with a little hack saw carving, it fit fine. The air filter cover would hit the choke lever on the new carb, so I just had to carve a little plastic out of the way, and it fit fine. Also, make sure to route the throttle arm outside of the breather Fuel line going to the primer bulb. Not hard to do. I spent 5 days trying to find the exact parts for this, and it's impossible. This carburetor saved the day. Hope this helps someone. Thanks!

Fits 2375LE perfectly. No mods required
Fit perfectly.Plenty of fuel line included. The only complaint I have is they don't include screws for primer bulb. My saw came with bulb that snaps in. The screw holes are in the case of the saw but bulb snaps into said holes. Provided primer is older screw in style. I had some that worked well enough but the scavenger hunt cost me daylight. It started and I got it adjusted pretty closely before running out of said daylight. My wild thing is going to do the wild thing again!

Doesnt fit
Yeah it bolted up but the air filter case wouldnt fit, meaning no air filter, no cover, no bueno. Fuel intake line was in a slightly different place and the choke or throttle ( I forget now) were slightly different but everything matched up JUST close enough to test to see if the old girl still had life. It tried (could need adjustment) but it was enough to show she had hope. Gonna have to disassemble and see if the gaskets and metering valve can be used because the rebuild kit ones dont fit. Good luck, this has been maddening.

throttle control levers
throttle control levers extended to the right side of the carb. I couldn't install the air cleaner to tighten down the carb. nuts. the extended levers hit the air cleaner on the back side. simple fix was to cut out a small square on the lower right side using a hot knife. after that, the saw worked great!
