i'm sure there's scientific data that details benefits of this air spring over another. but for the above average rider, this "upgrade" is really just an excuse to spend an evening in the garage drinking beers instead of being on the streets doing drugs and joining gangs. $40, whatever. it was a learning experience. Now i'm hesitant to upgrade a damper if i really don't need to.

Get the newer air spring with buttercups
Got this to replace the air spring in my 2024 base lyrik. This "upgraded" spring is way cheaper made and has way more plastic parts on it. I sat there comparing the old and new springs and realized I should've sprung for the nicer newer version with buttercups.

Do your research
This DECREASES small bump sensitivity on the lyrik. According to what other people posted, the decrease is worse on the Pike.On the other hand, it makes the fork ride higher. So if your sag was 30% at X PSI before "upgrading", then it will be 20% with the same psi. This hasn't made my ride any better.Personally, decreased small bump sensitivity will barely perceptible fork performance improvement is not an upgrade. This is what I would classify as a placebo upgrade. Save your money
