San Francisco Hat Company Men's Folding Fedora Packable Panama Hat

This is my second one like this, bought to replace the first that wore thin at the top after 4 years of frequent use. I love eveyrthing about this hat. It is superbly crafted, looks great and is perfect for long walks in the the warm California sun. The aerodynamics of the shape are such that it stays on even in a fairly brisk wind without the need to tigten the adjustable band. The clever styling and shape allows either front, back or both edges of the brim to be tipped up or down to adjust sun protection. Without a doubt, this San Francisco Hat Company panama looks and wears far better than any other straw hat that I have ever owned.

A good looking panama. However, when delivered, the packing box was crushed and so was the hat inside.The hat was supposed to be crushable and it certainly was.I looked at the instructions that came with the hat and steamed the hat over a pot of steaming water and all the crunches cameout. It is as good as new.

This is the second one my husband has purchased and will probably do a third on down the road. Excellent product!

Fit is slightly too small for my big giant head, but as I keep wearing it is giving enough so that it fits better now. Love the look and feel of it. Definitely plan to keep it.

I think the quality has gone way down on these. I had one, which started to get a hole in it, but was otherwise a very nice hat. This one seems much more cheaply made, and I can't imagine it's going to hold up. It still looks nice. No longer worth the price, though, in my opinion. San Francisco Hat company doesn't even list this hat on their site anymore, last I checked. Not sure if that means something...

I like the hat but it sure is not packable as the site claims. You can really squish it for sure, but it does not go back to what it was when new. I would not expect a perfect rebound, but more reasonable than a crease in the brim. The company should include instructions about packing the hat if they are really serious about it.

I've worn it in Paris and all over France and at the Jersey shore and gardening and at baseball games and soccer games and much more. It does everything you could ask of it but one...it doesn't recover from a suitcase fold-up as well as I had hoped. A little steam fixes the problem, though.

Worked grate on my trip to Egypt. It out performed similar hats worn my fellow travelers.
