This gumar powder is of no difference than the gymnema powder. I just started to use it, because I still had some of the other. It is easier to put in the capsules. I can’t comment on flavor for I only take in a capsule. Right now I have no preference I will just buy the most cost effective.

Does make sweet things taste NOT good. I've been testing several herbs in my smoothies and this one is very different! It tastes terrible but makes me feel GREAT! It makes everything I eat for hours taste bad also. It seems to helping tremendously with my non-diabetic neuropathy. This is the BEST! If it tasted better it would help so much!

Product is being used in my K-cup to make a rea. Noticed blood sugar levels are lower. Also, definite change is eating anything with sugar! You can't taste it. Very interesting.

I ordered from this seller because the company I normally order this product from was out of stock. The price here was higher, but I needed it and getting it was a must.I have a condition for which I use Gymnema Sylvestre regularly; I pretty much stay on it. Therefore, I am very familiar with the taste, smell and potency and/or effects this would have. I speak for myself when I say that I find that the product I received was not the color/consistency, or as potent or effective for me as the one I normally purchase elsewhere. I always try to be as fair as I can, when reviewing a product. Therefore, even when I noted that the consistency and color were different, I knew it wouldn't be fair to conclude anything just based on that alone. So, I tried the same amounts I always do with the product I normally use from other company and I did not find that it was effective for me. Not saying or advising anyone else to 'not make a purchase.'Just saying that for me, it does not work. Thankfully, I just checked and my usual supplier now has it in stock so I will make another purchase. I am sorry that I had to lose my money to figure this out. Otherwise, I would have at least had this seller on stand by, so to speak, as a secondary option, if my usual supplier ran out again, but unfortunately, that will not be.Also, it was not packaged as displayed in the photos. It was in a plastic bag, which contained another plastic bag, then a silver metallic type bag, then in that; another plastic bag. To be fair, I guess this in some way, was a good thing if one considers that the product was sealed and protected throughout the shipping process. There was not any brand name displayed, no nutritional labels, nothing on the package. I was expecting the product presentation to be as displayed in the photo; which, if anyone is honest, that is for most people one of the elements one considers if even, in a subconscious way, when deciding on a purchase. The silver/metallic bag was not resealable and was definitely not made of the material shown in the photograph.
