Beautiful Product
I enjoyed opening this dagger, beautiful knife.I have to add that it's more of a fantasy Mayan/Aztec ceremonial sacrificial dagger made of stainless steel. The fantasy part is evident. The dagger is not made Eilat, malachite,or obsidian stone as the real one's are,but the art work is beautiful on the blade and all throughout the piece. The dagger blade is a little over 3" length and with a nice and strong stainless steel blade and handle. The only complaint is that it say Scotish on the box label and is made in China. The dagger makes a great gift and good collector's item for that individual that likes to collect unique pieces of art.For the price the dagger is a excellent purchase.I personal recommend the piece to any potential buyer.

very detailed blade
I got this dagger for my wife for her pirate outfit, its just the right size that she can wear it on the side of her leg. The scabbard/cover fits on the blade extremely well, almost too well. It takes a lot of force to pull the blade out, which is good so it doesn't just fall off either. The butt end of the handle is also carded with a sort of face on it, and is also metal, you could use it to make a seal with wax for sending letters. The blade is very very intricately carved. I know there are some arguments on what kind of designs are on this dagger and their origin. Personally I think someone just drew them and liked them since they are really nice, and not from any one specific background, but more like a collaboration of styles.

Unable to remove sheath cover?
Nice looking knife so far, but I’m unable to remove the protective sheath blade cover after many attempts in many ways. If someone knows how to do this without injury or damage to knife, please advise. Otherwise this will be a waste of money.

Brilliant!
I received the knife a day early. I opened the package and fell in love. The design was beautiful. I must warn potential buyers that it looks like a Aztec or Myan knife and not a Scottish knife. It came to me with a dull blade as well, but with a little research and effort I sharpened it. It turned out just fine. I have only one comment/question. I thought it was supposed to be a leather sheath, but in my opinion it feels like plastic. Is it plastic or is it leather? It might be my inexperience with knives (or any weapon for that matter). I highly recommend this product.

Very cool
My daughter wanted a cool knife she can safely put under her pillow that won't stab her in the face, so I got her this knife because it's cool and has a safety cover. We don't care that it's not authentic, we just like the fun mashup design. It's sharp but not too sharp. Even the design at the end of the knife is cool. So funny it's got Mayan influence but says it's Scottish. She loves it.

Good decorative knife for price, Designs are Mayan/Aztec
First off this knife is well built for the price but it is definitely a show piece, the blade is not real Damascus steel, but anyone should already know that. The oddest thing about it is the designs on the pommel (which you cannot see in the pictures)is obviously an Aztec or Mayan Jaguar head or something similar, very well rendered, but the whole knife is covered with such designs which are not Scottish by any means. If you looking for authentic then this is not it. But if you like the oddity of a Scottish Dirk with a Damascus (faux) blade and Mayan designs.....its a keeper. Another little note is that the blade fits VERY snugly in the sheath, making it hard for a weak person too remove it, it could also be dangerous just because of the shear force it takes too do so, as an example my wife tried too do it and when the blade came free she lost her grip on it from the shock of it releasing and it stuck in the floor.

Not Scottish
I feel that this item was named incorrectly. It doesn't look very Scottish at all.The edges weren't all that sharp but it was sharp enough for a display. The designs/etchings; all though not Scottish they were more Mayan, were well done and good looking.I didn't have the same trouble with unsheathing it that everyone else did. I did have to pull a little harder then normal but I didn't need a lot of strength to do so.It is a good little dagger and worth the small price.

Heavy
nice etched blade and seems to be well made. Heavier then I thought and snug fitting scabbard. Fast shipping and a great price for the quality I got. A+A+A+A+A+
