Bought as a gift for grandson, he loved it.

I bought this toy for a pirate-mad toddler but it's good fun for adults, too!There is minor assembly required- you need to put the skeleton, mast, helm and another ship part on the ship. There are small holes that show where these items go but they keep coming off ALL THE TIME and it's very annoying. We binned those parts as they don't add anything to the game, plus the helm bits that go into the holes broke and remained in there, so we cannot fix that anyway.To add the batteries on the ship and the weapon, you'll need a small screwdriver.The game is that the ship projects green ghosts in different shapes (sharks, human pirates, skeletons) all around it. The lenses are positioned in a way that ghosts appear all around in the room as well as in the ceiling. The player has to use the weapon, target the ghosts and press the button on it to hit the ghosts. The sounds tell you whether you have hit or missed a ghost. Each round is quite long in duration but half-way though there is a sound of coins so when we play it we play in teams of 2 and the two people of a team switch when the coin sound plays. At the end of the round there is some accordion music and then you can hear how many coins you won. There are several modes that affect how quickly the ghosts are projected so you can experiment with the different levels.We love playing this with friends and family as everyone likes comparing how many coins they got in the end and we have a prize for the winner.Item arrived on the next day in a box in great condition.

Grandson was thrilled with this as a birthday present

The guns just make noises whether you hit anything or not and there is no score on the guns so it’s just basically making noises and the kids are just shooting so the game isn’t fun as scores aren’t recorded it was easy to set up and easy to use but not much point in the game when you can’t see if you have hit anything for this reason I would say it is more suitable for toddlers than children that are more competitive and want to know what score they got

Cannot wait to play this with the family, the YouTube videos looks so much fun for all ages (especially adults haha)

Just been told that my 2 1/2 year old grandson and his 5 1/2 year old cousin love this!

I returned the first one that came because the torch did not light up as in the picture on the box. But the replacement was the same. Still seems to work even though no light comes out, and my son still loves playing with it.
