As there was not a cartridge in the case I have not been able to try the game

If you can pick this up cheap is worth it.But it can be quite frustrating if you're reactions are less then cat-like.

we jump from PS3 to Nintendo switch , its exactly the same only more mobile if required :) kids love it

Rayman is best played on Nintendo consoles, imo. I own the game on PC too, but it feels better playing it on the Switch. I defiantly recommend it.
