Intel Core i7-620M Processor (4M Cache, 2.66 GHz) CPU

Installed and worked perfectly.

Noticeable performance increase over i5 for productivity, and routine system actions.

Why the big price difference from its competition (i5-580m/i7-640m)??At one point I thought Intel was hiding something (I might be right) about this processor (may be a bug or performance issue)Surprisingly, shutdown took longer than original (of i3). I am guessing that is due to the fact that this is higher clocked and takes longer to lose the charge/call to the shutdown circuit (my understanding in a nutshell of circuit systems). I mean why else would i3 be faster at shutdown (I am talking about 3 second difference)??? it is the same software and hardware aside from the processor. My hard drive activity blinker was heavily running at the time of shutdown with i7 which was not the case when I had i3.Performance is much better than i3 obviously BUT it might be an overkill for old laptop as other components may not be able to keep up with it.According to a reseller, these are supplied heavily in the market so they are much cheaper but I am having hard time believing it. I am still curious to get the i5-580M or i7-640m to try out.Pros:Cheaper and much easier to find than its competition (i5-580M, i7-640M)Benchmark test were 30% higher than of the i30-330M.Cons:Feels only slightly faster for normal surfing/browsing and basic application use.Runs hot.Heat fan running heavily most of the time.Battery life is less than 3/4 of original system (for the who do not have extended battery, this may be a hassle)I don't know what to say in conclusion. This processor left me at the mid point so cant say. I would get i5-580M if I can get a good price on it as it seems like right move. Do what you feel is right after reading my review.

Easy install

To be honest I bought this from a seller on Amazon and it didn't go so well. It was Dead on Arrival. no good. A piece of junk. I believe if I would have bought it sold by Amazon it would have probably worked well. I thought by trying to save some money buy from seller on Amazon it would be alright. Like all ways. Amazon did refunded my money.

Great processor for the price not the latest and greatest but still upped my laptop fps on all my games and load speeds definitely worth it if your still using these types of procesors
