🚤 Elevate Your Kayak Game!
Kayak fishing is about as pure as it gets. Out there on the water, it's just you on your yak, your line in the water, and the fish inbound to take the bait. There's just one problem: the paddle. Paddling can cause uneven disturbances in the water, scaring off fish that might otherwise have come in for a bite. It also requires the use of both hands, meaning you can't have a grip on your fishing rod while moving your kayak at the same time. The solution is a trolling motor... but where to put it? Why, on the Brooklyn Kayak Company BKC UH-TM315 Kayak Trolling Motor Mount, of course. This rugged, reliable mount installs on most fishing kayaks in a matter of minutes, fitting into rod holder recesses built into the hull. Its tubular steel frame and solid plastic components resist corrosion and won't degrade even after extensive exposure to water, sunlight, and salty air, and the mount is sturdy enough for any size of kayak trolling motor. Connecting a motor to the mount takes mere seconds, as does removing the motor or the entire mount itself. The system is lightweight enough for easy handling and it adds little weight to the overall payload of your yak.

Strong construction but needs additional support to keep from wobbling
I love my BKC tandem kayak and was excited to add the trolling motor to it. I got this mount because it fits my kayak and doesn't require drilling any holes. (Couldn't imagine drilling holes in a brand new $1200 kayak!!!) This motor mount seems sturdy, but needs extra support to keep the poles from loosening in the holes behind the rear seat. I placed a bit of rubber sheeting to keep the poles from sliding and also added zip ties between the poles and the tie down 'D' loops right behind the holes to keep the mount in place. It's very sturdy now, but would loosen before - especially on the end opposite the motor which caused me great concern about the motor falling into the water.I, like others, also cannot figure out why the two main poles are so long?! This could only be useful if want to tie a cooler or chair-back bag to it or something; otherwise the poles make the overall height of the kayak too tall, and also make it difficult to put a cover over the whole kayak. (And, once you do the retrofit for more support, you WILL NOT be wanting to take this thing off and on.) I myself have purchased a pipe cutter (difficult to find one now that will work on stainless steel pipe vs. PVC, etc.) and will have to see if it will work to cut these pipes. And, again like others have said, the pipe ends can cut you as they come from factory as they are not filed, especially not on the inside edge so do be careful!

Motor mount is flimsy!
The media could not be loaded. The aluminum tubing is nice, I liked the way it slides into rod holders and that parts good and solid, but the motor mount itself is very flimsy. I've had it out in use once and I'm pretty sure it's about to spin around in the tubing. If it wasn't for that this would be a 5 star great product! Also in the pics in the add the bushings on the tubing and the motor mount look to be some type of white solid plastic/rubber material. What I got is black cheap plastic.

Ascend FS10 Kayak Perfect FIT 👌🏻
I have a Ascend FS10 kayak and got into lobster fishing and it was a lot of work to paddle and drop cages on a kayak so I need a trolling motor but needed a way to mount one & I didn’t want to drill holes into the kayak like the other models 👎🏻 well this one fits perfectly in the rod holders & I purchased it over 2 years ago it’s holding on like new

trolling mount
The product is well made. I just used the cross tube with transom mount. The vertical parts provided are too large a diameter tubing to fit my Lifetime stealth rod holder holes. And probably most others.I made my own out of PVC to adapt to my kayak.

Good product but I wasnt able to use it
I bought this a few months ago and had the opportunity to test it out yesterday. The mount is solid and I was able to fit it in the pole holders of a pelican kayak, but when I was adding the motor it was too much weight for the thin plastic of the kayak. The motor weighs about 23 lbs. It seems like it would work perfectly in a higher end kayak or with a lighter motor.

Works with 2-hours’ modifications
Four points for product improvement or for use awareness:1. The top of vertical mounting bars are two long. One bar interferes directly with trolling motor handle in position.I cut both sides 9.5 inches for low profile use.2. The mounting pad should be vertical in my Kayak since the fishing holders are vertically oriented. The current is about 30 degree off. I believe most of kayaks are not tilted that much.I drill two pair holes on the other end of the horizontal bar, cut two slots to mount plastic pad vertically.3. If the fish holders are wider than 23 inches away, this will not fit.3. For the fastening two 4 inch long screws, one side is +, other end is hex nut, it is inconvenient for on-site assembly using screw drive. Hope to reduce to one wrench or use two wrenches.I spent about 2 hours to make it work. Hope it work for while. I prefer not to if I have choice.
