L 'Oreal Paris Shampoo and Conditioner Set, 12.6 Oz Extraordinary Oil

I’ve been on a hair care journey lately to see if I can get the heat damage and dryness off of my hair. It is wavy, and changes a lot depending on many factors. I’ve tried numerous shampoos and conditioners over the years to try and find the best one. I decided to give L’Oréal a try but was skeptical because it is a drugstore brand and you know what they say about anything affordable. Which is unfair for those of us who just don’t have the means to buy expensive high end, salon quality products.For starters, the smell is a 10/10 I personally don’t care if a shampoo smells good or has no scent. The best way to describe how this smells is…good, likable. A pleasant sweet scent, it makes your hair smell “clean” really rubs away that nasty oily, burnt hair smell if you use heat or just get oily hair and easily.The shampoo lathers pretty well, but, what I do to make it “less harsh” is mix 1 part shampoo with 1-2 part water, essentially “diluting” the shampoo to make it gentler on my dry scalp. It still cleanses the hair pretty well but without leaving it feeling “stripped” I would rate the shampoo, a 9/10. It gets the job done, but, as I mentioned, I had to dilute it to make it just a bit less harsh for my own hair issues.The conditioner is also a 9/10. Conditioner for me matters even more than the shampoo. Conditioner for those of us with dry hair is a must. Which is why many people resort to cheap shampoos with expensive conditioners in order to get the most out of the wash. The conditioner ALONE was pretty decent. I leave conditioners on my hair for longer than instructed just for that extra “security” but, here’s what I began doing recently that was a game changer. Buy rosemary essential oil and jojoba oil and mix 5-10 drops of the two with the conditioner. It made my hair so incredibly soft and manageable. Not to mention shiny and smelling amazing for up to 5 days. Jojoba and essential oils are lightweight and will not weigh down your hair. Leave that in for 10 minutes and wash it off. The only complaint I have about this conditioner is that it does cling to your hair. But then again I have yet to find a conditioner that does not do this. I actually found that for the most part, it does penetrate the hair shaft pretty well. So that “residue” is really only present in one or two spots. Cold water gets it out.Bottom line is, this shampoo and conditioner are a great investment if you’re looking for an affordable fix to dry and damaged hair. I am speaking from personal experience. Use some of the tips I used above and if your hair is like mine, you’ll probably get good results.

Makes hair very soft

I currently have bleached blond hair and since bleaching it it's very delicate and when it dries it feels very dry. As for my scalp it's very dry, itchy and dandruff has slowly started making an appearance.With all that said I washed my hair last night and went to bed and expected to wake up with a very tangles hay ball but I was very shocked that it absolutely wasn't. I am able to run my hand threw it and it feels very silky. Almost as if I had poured styling oil in my hands before touching It. It's also pretty tamed considering I slept with it loose.I imagine if your hair is not dry and frizzy it would feel extremely oily but as for me I'm sold.

The whole outlook of the bottles and appeal to buy them is great. The design of the bottles is not only easy on the eyes, but they are very convenient with the wide stand bottoms that allow the sitting of ease. The bottle is universal in this also as it can be turned upside down and used either way for storage. Starting with Shampoo, the color of the shampoo matches the bottle color and has a very pleasant, inviting and long lasting. The lather and feel of the shampoo is very good, rinsing is easy. The way your hair feels after your wash only is still pretty dry ( especially if you have dry, curly damaged hair). The conditioner does not have a gritty or super slick feel. It is very quick working and absolutely works wonders on your dry, curly, damaged hair. I would highly recommend these products and the hair treatment serum to EVERYONE and ANYONE. Even if you don't have curly hair. This Product definitely deserves its five star plus an extra one for the sleek designs! The only thing i would say to question is the "after just one wash". Yes I will completely honestly 100% admit it is much better after one wash, but continued use still shows the best results. Made hair thicker. This is unreal, my hair wasn’t really thin, but after using this shampoo for a few months, I noticed my hair got really thicker . My beautician also said it was very noticeable to her also.

1st I want to say the shampoo AND conditioner made my hair (and my skin especially my hands) feel AMAZING!The conditioner is wonderful! My hair felt great! I was worried it was gonna make my look greasy but it didn't. It even left my skin feel so soft and smooth!However the shampoo seems very runny/watering and I had to wash with it 3 times before my hair felt clean and I had to use more than I normally would. For that reason Im not sure if I would buy it because with the amount I had to use the bottle would go very quickly.But I will say this is the 1st and ONLY shampoo I have ever used that after washing my hair (before conditioning) that my hair felt soft and somewhat manageable. Generally after shampoo my hair feels very dry and is a tangled mess so that is really impressive!My girlfriend also tried it and she did NOT have that issue so I guess it depends on your hair.Another thing the smell isn't the greatest... it doesn't smell bad but it also doesn't smell good. But the softness it gave my hair is worth the trade off there.*L'Oreal provided a product sample for review purposes*
