The boards are sturdy but reasonably lightweight. They hold the weight of travel magnets even through layers of paint. Paint sticks to them just fine. The size is exactly as advertised. They attach to the wall easily in either orientation. I used six of them and painted a giant USA on the boards to place all of my travel magnets on, and it worked wonderfully. That was my pandemic stay-at-home project.

This is far more fun than the ordinary cork board or white board message centers--and will last far longer than either.I'm taking a Starrett carbide pocket scriber tool to mine and personalizing it with a comic book artwork scene. (Cover the surface with a neon green/light green sharpie, trace the pattern on with carbon paper, and then slowly etching it out under a bright work lamp. Takes a LONG time, but the effect is very cool--especially with the details you can get and how you can work larger areas to a satiny 'shading' effect. Nail polish remover then takes the sharpie off once I'm done and I'll have a collectible piece on my wall that also doubles as place to 'pin' my notes/lists. As I'm doing an Arkham/villainess theme, I think I'll use the shotgun shell end magnets available here on Amazon to hold stuff on, just for the humor of it.)If you're not messing with it, don't worry, this baby is good quality--not so heavy that it makes you feel for your wall but solid enough to last the rest of your life assuming you're not an idiot with it. And yep, I would buy this again, and probably will for working up a piece for my brother (he likes cryptid stuff) for Christmas.

Love this board! I put it up with a few command strips, and it's holding nicely...very sturdy. It's perfect for my office, and I'm considering getting another one for my fridge. There are some black marks that are not coming off, and a couple of scratches. However, due to this board being painted, it picks up reflections, (not glaringly, but just has a reflective quality) so the scratches and black marks are not the first thing you see. There are holes in the 4 corners, so depending on how you'd like to hang it, they may be obvious. It's an easy fix if you'd like to cover them with something decorative or modern....easy to get creative with it and make it your own.

We have a stainless steel refrigerator which doesn't support magnets (not a big fan of stainless). So I bought this for my son's playroom so he can play with magnetic letters. Overall, this works well for our purposes and our son loves it!However, I do wish they made this board about 6-12 inches taller in height. The board was easy enough to install if you are handy with a drill but I would have appreciated a drill template to ease the installation. We purchased the largest board and it is about 27" between where the screws should be set but typically you will not hit two studs between this distance. I highly recommend using E-Z Ancor Metal Drywall Anchors to secure this board if you cannot find two studs (you can find them on Amazon, Lowes, and Home Depot). These do a wonderful job of securing this board to the wall.

We used this to display our vacation magnets. The board is very good looking and sturdy but lightweight enough to hang on the wall. Highly recommend this product.

The ideal product for my fabric swatches. To hang the magnetic boards, we used the included screws and added drywall anchors where needed. We created a parchment paper template that showed the location of each hole (based on the back of each magnetic board). Then we taped the template to the wall to drill the pilot holes. It worked perfectly — the boards are flush against the wall with no wiggling. Definitely worth the extra step of creating the template.

Bought this because the refrigerator is not magnetic - it fits perfectly on the non-water dispenser side of the door. Bought some suction cups to put in the holes on the back instead of using the screws that come with it. This only weighs 5 lbs according to the description so the suction cups were easy to get locally. The dry erase board is a small magnetic board (about the size of a 4x6 picture) which you can attach to the board. This works wonderfully and now we have a magnetic front on our frig. It doesn't lay flush to the door due to the depth of the board and the suction cups but it is well below the handle depth. This company also sells a smaller version which will fit on the water dispenser side.

For the what you are paying this product seems over-priced. The packaging was substandard as the item was only wrapped in plastic, thrown in a box with some crumpled up bits of paper. As a result the frames of the board arrived scratched.The board itself is very sturdy and holds magnets as needed and did arrive with screws for hanging. (I found that 3M Command Strips rated for 16 lbs securely held the board in place despite the weight.) However, beware of the surface, as it is a fingerprint magnet. Additionally, the board's surface looks great however be warned that it will scratch easily! Please make sure to use magnets that do not have a felt backing. The magnets that ship with the board are more like flimsy fridge magnets, I would recommend investing in some Blomus magnets to match the board's decor and/or finding a better dry erase magnet.I would return this product, however I am unable to find a similar board with these dimensions. While it may be small for some, I found it to be perfect size for casual use.
